Skoda Superb 2017-2022 dsg transmission
Just to finish off my little story, the wait was I think close to 3 months. The 'two weeks' thing is just the timeline Skoda gives the dealer, and therefore they give to me. It was incredibly frustrating. Not nearly as frustrating as losing 2nd, 4th, 6th and reverse whenever the car felt like it, nor the car deciding that 1st was the only gear I needed, sometimes when pulling onto a motorway slip road! I was on the verge of dumping the car in a ditch at one point it got so bad, but it's been fixed a few weeks now and life is good again.

Skoda Superb 2017-2022 dsg transmission
Got my 2018 Superb L&K with DSG (presumably DQ381) rewarranted in December aspart of the servicing / MOT / recovery / warranty offering. Odometer somewhere around 89k miles The gearbox went into emergency mode on the M60 J12 / M62 junction at evening rush hour last week. Would only select first gear - no other gears available. The traffic was slow, but not that slow! I got picked up and transported within an hour to a 'safe place' but then had to wait a further 5 hours for an AA man with a diagnostic tool to come and read the codes. By then I'd cycled the engine a number of times so the EML light had gone out. He drove it around the car park and said it was fine to drive. Drove it another 70 miles home and reported it to Skoda dealer the next day to see what they wantred to do with it. It went in ealier this week for a scheduled service (and a DSG oil change), and they've told me it requires a new control unit - so presumably the mechatronic unit - and it was covered under the warranty. It's apparently on back order and could be 2 weeks before it arrives. They showed some compassion though - they didn't change the DSG oil and charge me £300 for it as the warranty work requires replacing it anyway. From what I remember the fault code was a clutch position sensor. I guess the warranty saved me a bunch of money!

Hayselden Skoda - Doncaster
I think I've had it with Hayselden Skoda. I've not had a massive problem with the work they do in the way some have, it's more to do with the lack of attention to detail on EVERY visit. On my car's first visit - for it's first service, I asked for them to set it to the long life intervals and service accordingly. At that point my Superb was mainly running up and down the A1, much like my previous vehicles had. They didn't. I didn't notice straight away, so I went in a few days later to get it set properly. Second visit, they forgot to reset the indicator at all. Before even leaving the car park, I checked - went back in and asked for it to be reset to long life intervals. Went back in again, and asked again for it to be reset to long life intervals, not standard, and they finally got it right. Then it went in for a warranty fault with the headlight control unit. Disgnosed, and part ordered. Went back in when they asked me to so that the replacement module could be fitted. Only it wasn't there. I had to go back a second time to get it fitted. Last visit, I asked (as I always do) that if there are any extra items that need to be done before it's next scheduled service, then please do them. Today I went in for my MOT booking at 10:00, to be told I was wrong the booking was for 12:30. Showed them the email confirmation of my 10:00 appointment and they said their system showed 12:30. Not even a hint of an apology. Then they asked about doing a brake fluid change and timing belt. Both scheduled items that could have been done in the last service had they suggested it. I've just looked at my last receipt from them ... MOT last year was coincedentally booked for 12:30! I just hate being arsed around by people being disorganised and / or incompetant, and like I say it's EVERY visit. It's as if me / my time / my experience doesn't even matter to them. Love the car, hate the dealer. Luckily I didn't buy the car from them, so I've only lined their pockets with some overpriced servicing Time to find a decent, honest and trustworthy independant I think. I was looking at DM Keith pretty much anywhere else in Yorkshire, but their reviews aren't great, and even Hortons in Lincoln have apparently gone downhill since I last looked them up.

DAB Radio lost
Late to the party, but ^^ this. I have a rear dash cam as well as a front, it kills the DAB signal. If I want DAB I have to unplug the rear camera. It's improved a bit with a big choke / suppressor close to the rear camera but it's still awful. At some point I will rewire it from the passenger side of the car to the driver's side (along the door sills) to see if that helps
