  1. I am going to answer myself in case anyone else wants to know, it was a T30. I am working off a high kerb on the pavement, so really hard to see anything!
  2. Hello @digifishI need to loosen the door card to get the wing mirror off to repair. Do you remember what sort of screw it is holding the door card on in the middle? Looks like a Hex, but wondering whether it might be a torx - do you remember or know where I can find out? Difficult to get ay decent light on it. Thanks for the video, it definitely helps!
  3. @ApertureSI think people in cities with narrow roads quite often find their wing mirrors are damaged. When I was looking into how to take the wing mirror off it became clear that it used to be easy for the Skoda range (just take the tweeter panel off) but now you have to take the door card off to take the tweeter panel off - any good reason possible?!
  4. Thanks @JR RS, not what I wanted to hear, but I thought that might be the case. We really need that legislation about designing for repair and maintenance to get moving, so silly! Thanks for the picture, do you have anything which shows how the tweeter panel is attached? I have seen some posts about removing the door card - looks like you have to release the locking nut at the bottom and 1 screw under the electric window controls, then use a prising tool to release the door card. Will that give sufficient movement to take the tweeter panel off? Or do I need to take out the panel with the electric window controls? I am hoping I don't have to release any of the connections. Thanks again!
  5. Our Skoda Greenline stop/start stopped working years ago and the garage blamed our driving style. Replaced the battery recently (died in 2020 lock down) and now works perfectly.
  6. Please help! The metal bearing in our wing mirror has broken, so I want to take the assembly out and repair it. Do you have to remove the whole door card to get the little tweeter panel out? Could I just release the clips on the section closest to the engine and pull it out enough to get the tweeter panel off? Why did they make it so hard to remove the tweeter! Thanks
