Often one wonders if they are going to drive onto the main road without stopping. Very good car, congratulations but I would be careful of adding a camera to existing wiring. I have had a bit of trouble when I asked a man to fit aftermarket rev sensors. The wiring system was not as normal and he had to abort the job. This affected the infotainment screen and also the emergency system. This car is a kamiq , yours may be ok I got all back to normal again by disconnecting the battery for a while. Anyway, good luck !

Yes , I got used to LaneAssist, Not a problem but what about the warning on ' Take over steering' that seems to have a mind of its own. I simply ignore it and carry on steering with my nose.😎

Haha ! Yes of course it does but as I have said ,there are many other nonsensical annoying things that have been given precedence over what would be normally expected. Like, for example, rear parking sensors.

You can definitely get used to 'Lane Assist' but there are other annoying features such as 'Take over control of steering ' which is very annoying and all these nonsensical things when no consideration of 'Reverse parking sensors on some cars has been made.

It's a lousy response from any dealership . 16 months or whatever, it's a failure. Couldnt they get a new one and replace it.

Seems to me that the system on your car is so messed up that it should be entirely rejected. I have so far only had the one glitch but considering all the other nonsensical warnings and instructions I will not keep this Kamiq

Yes, I did try that, however, no problem since. It seems like an upgrade of some sort had been taking place at that time. You know like it does on your PC or smart phone. But hey ! what about 'Take control of steering' or at times 'take over steering' even though you have two hands on.

My screen went blank today, no radio or anything. Stopped driving 3 times to switch off and on but to no avail. On arriving home switched off with a view to calling dealer.However before exiting the car I thought I will turn the key again to operate windows slightly. Suddenly radio burst into life of it's own accord and no other warning signs or symbols. All this within a half hour. Thought it might have been affected by some outside interference.

Yes it's easy to work with it you become accustomed to it after a while and it does ensure you use the indicators.

Yes that is correct, most people understand these features or similar are incorporated in other new vehicles. However the safety aspect of some is questionable and so the general opinion is important

Yes I have the same experience even though I dont bother to switch it off. It regularly says system unavailable but then it is back on at the next start. It's all crazy, that and the other bizarre nonsense. It must be coming from some directive of a certain authority. Simply not clever !

I dont think there are any adjustments to be made. I too had an Octavia without all these issues and regret not sticking with it. Yes Octavia also had lane assist but less troublesome.

That's how I feel having experienced the same and other dangerous applications which are mind boggling. I know now it was a mistake to change from my previous car, however, what's done is done and it will be changed again before long.

Aw its marvelous init, it tells you how to drive, what gear to use, what not to do,gives you tips, Tells you to 'Take over steering' when it thinks you may be busy at something else. I mean where else would you get it ? Ah ! yes of course, its preparing the way for the 'Driverless car '

Yes, I have got used to it, happens often, unavailable til the next startup. On driving on minor country roads I definitely switch it off as it's dangerous then. This car has a few other undesirable features which are maddening if not just laughable at times.
