  1. I don't understand weekly/payday shoppers, how do you know what you want week to week, I barely know what I want hour to hour, I just don't get it!!!
  2. I think mine is just waiting for this, I drive it like I stole it, my 17 year old daughter drives it like she stole it and my wife drives it like she stole it whilst applying makeup or doing one of the million other things she prioritises over actually driving!!!! But I guess that's the life of a leased car.
  3. You won't have a problem, lots of nice examples about for that sort of money, lots of dogs too so be wary.
  4. One of those posts that I wish had never needed to be written, I never really know what to say or type other than I'm very sorry for your loss.
  5. I wouldn't buy an omega anymore, over the last couple of years the prices have gone silly, I do quite like the christopher ward watches and one of those may be my next watch if I get bored of saving up for a patek philippe nautilus.
  6. not got an omega then, 5 year service nearly £500.....
  7. Every new thing I read about this car makes me want one even more, shut up and take my money Mr alfa!!!!
  8. As I said in the other thread on my Mk3 tdi Octy and my 535d I have found no pro's at all to putting the expensive stuff in and the only con is the price, both perform identically as far as I can tell no matter which I put in, I believe some petrol are different but I could be wrong.
  9. Those 309/306 Peugeot would run on just about anything!!! Old mercedes deisel were the same if it was oily they would run.
  10. So I may have problems with mine? I do about 6 miles twice a day on small country roads.
  11. I have noticed no difference on my Mk3 vrs tdi Octy between cheap supermarket fuel or high performance stuff, to all intents and purposes it runs exactly the same and I get the same range on a tank full. I'm not saying this is in any way a scientific fact but I'm just going to keep putting asdas standard cheap stuff in.
  12. There are only 2 really effective methods when trying to control rats and for obvious reasons you can't use poisons, the next best method IMHO would be a jack Russell or two.
  13. I think I'm coming up to 8 years now.
  14. The biggest problem you have, and I own 3 very different businesses, is getting paid. I am a freelance transport manager which is what I do day to day, I am usually called in when there are problems it is both challenging and stressful but I always have a great sense of achievement when I set a company back on the right track, obviously this business required zero funding or any real startup cost. I also own 40% of a recruitment company specialising in haulage, the setup cost was large and it took a long time to get any sort of cash flow, it was my first business and I have learned a lot from it the main thing being do not blindly go into something you know very little about and don't go in with a friend.... it works now but the first 6 months we were on a very rocky road, 250k of invoice factoring secured personally on our houses caused quite a lot of stress. My third business is the one my wife runs and that is the alloy wheel refurb shop, this effectively came about by accident almost a hobby turned business, most of her customers are in the motor trade and it seasonally does quite well. I enjoy being my own boss but have very quickly realised that no matter what you do you are not really the boss lol, I work more hours now than I ever have, in the first few months of the recruitment company I worked 15-20 hours a day 7 days a week and didn't get paid a penny for 5 months. Going it alone is the most rewarding thing both financially and in terms of personal satisfaction that I have ever done, it is also the hardest most pysically and mentally draining thing I've ever done. My main advice to you is do something you know, make sure you get paid (never ever stop chasing those who cant/won't pay) and get a bloody good accountant it may seem expensive at first but it is worth every single penny!!!
