  1. I don't understand weekly/payday shoppers, how do you know what you want week to week, I barely know what I want hour to hour, I just don't get it!!!
  2. I think mine is just waiting for this, I drive it like I stole it, my 17 year old daughter drives it like she stole it and my wife drives it like she stole it whilst applying makeup or doing one of the million other things she prioritises over actually driving!!!! But I guess that's the life of a leased car.
  3. You won't have a problem, lots of nice examples about for that sort of money, lots of dogs too so be wary.
  4. One of those posts that I wish had never needed to be written, I never really know what to say or type other than I'm very sorry for your loss.
  5. I wouldn't buy an omega anymore, over the last couple of years the prices have gone silly, I do quite like the christopher ward watches and one of those may be my next watch if I get bored of saving up for a patek philippe nautilus.
  6. not got an omega then, 5 year service nearly £500.....
  7. Every new thing I read about this car makes me want one even more, shut up and take my money Mr alfa!!!!
  8. As I said in the other thread on my Mk3 tdi Octy and my 535d I have found no pro's at all to putting the expensive stuff in and the only con is the price, both perform identically as far as I can tell no matter which I put in, I believe some petrol are different but I could be wrong.
  9. Those 309/306 Peugeot would run on just about anything!!! Old mercedes deisel were the same if it was oily they would run.
  10. So I may have problems with mine? I do about 6 miles twice a day on small country roads.
  11. I have noticed no difference on my Mk3 vrs tdi Octy between cheap supermarket fuel or high performance stuff, to all intents and purposes it runs exactly the same and I get the same range on a tank full. I'm not saying this is in any way a scientific fact but I'm just going to keep putting asdas standard cheap stuff in.
  12. There are only 2 really effective methods when trying to control rats and for obvious reasons you can't use poisons, the next best method IMHO would be a jack Russell or two.
  13. I think I'm coming up to 8 years now.
  14. The biggest problem you have, and I own 3 very different businesses, is getting paid. I am a freelance transport manager which is what I do day to day, I am usually called in when there are problems it is both challenging and stressful but I always have a great sense of achievement when I set a company back on the right track, obviously this business required zero funding or any real startup cost. I also own 40% of a recruitment company specialising in haulage, the setup cost was large and it took a long time to get any sort of cash flow, it was my first business and I have learned a lot from it the main thing being do not blindly go into something you know very little about and don't go in with a friend.... it works now but the first 6 months we were on a very rocky road, 250k of invoice factoring secured personally on our houses caused quite a lot of stress. My third business is the one my wife runs and that is the alloy wheel refurb shop, this effectively came about by accident almost a hobby turned business, most of her customers are in the motor trade and it seasonally does quite well. I enjoy being my own boss but have very quickly realised that no matter what you do you are not really the boss lol, I work more hours now than I ever have, in the first few months of the recruitment company I worked 15-20 hours a day 7 days a week and didn't get paid a penny for 5 months. Going it alone is the most rewarding thing both financially and in terms of personal satisfaction that I have ever done, it is also the hardest most pysically and mentally draining thing I've ever done. My main advice to you is do something you know, make sure you get paid (never ever stop chasing those who cant/won't pay) and get a bloody good accountant it may seem expensive at first but it is worth every single penny!!!
  15. We have a smeg double oven, 15 years old now and never missed a beat, maybe a touch over your budget but we'll worth the slight premium
  16. I wouldn't do it with an expensive car but see no problem with the Octy, I only got it to rag it silly for 2 years then give it back and it's very good at being ragged to death!!!
  17. I quit smoking using these 2 1/2 years ago when I joined a running club, I spent 12 months vaping and losing weight, I ended up running about 8.10 minute miles and couldn't seem to progress. I then made an effort to quit vaping and over the next 2 weeks dropped a whole minute per mile, I'm not saying these things are not better for you than smoking but they are certainly not risk free in my opinion.
  18. I recently did a bit in electric carts, the ones I was using were just as quick as the petrol ones but overtaking was really tough because all the power is there instantly, so someone in front of you slides and loses lots of speed but nails the throttle so they are back up to speed before you can make the most of it, in a petrol cart you would have slid right on past as they are accelerating. Was good fun though when you get the hang of it.
  19. I've recently taken the ghoulish perk so radiation doesn't affect me anymore apparently, I went and collected the raider power armour in the glowing sea with no power armour or hazmat suit on, another bonus is radiation actually heals some health too!!!! Also just got the Reba 2 sniper rifle off barney and it's pretty good. I now have 12 sets of power armour in my power armour room at sanctuary though I have taken all the fusion cores out so my settlers don't steal them when we get attacked.
  20. My wife and I have been out all day trying to prevent the flooding of a new estate just down the road, filled millions of sandbags, got soaking wet through and cold but fingers crossed we may just have got on top of the situation, community spirit has been amazing with our local builders merchant opening up and giving away his entire stock of building sand.
  21. I have now completed the institute ending, so back to an earlier save so I can do the other 3, though I might concentrate on building up a giant castle base for now.
  22. I've just got the overseers guardian sniper rifle and modded it slightly, what a beast of a gun, my character is leaning towards the stealth sniper type but with plenty of lock picking, hacking, gun nut 4, armourer 4 and some good speech type perks so I can persuade people to do it my way!!! Still hardly scratched the surface of the main storey, played quite a bit this week and almost lvl 50 now. Does anyone else go for armour based on asthetics rather than stats? I've got a bit bored of power armour now.
  23. I have finally managed to find the x01 power armour and mod it to mk5, I'm a beast now!!!! Is there a storey mode to the game though? I'm level 39 and have not really gone for any of the main quests yet, I've just been making my settlements and scavenging good stuff!!!
  24. When I make the occasional mistake when paying my staff I make sure the matter is rectified as fast as possible, I learned a long time ago you simply don't mess with a man's wages!!!
