A couple of weeks ago my rear o/s door started to randomly not unlock when using the central locking remote. I was having to reach inside and open it. I was going to get it looked at when it went in for it's MOT last week but it randomly decided to start working again so I left it. I started noticing in the last few days that when I lock the car I can hear the locking mechanism working on that door but it is rapidly clunking like it is struggling to lock......which today I discovered is what seems to be happening. Whilst driving to the supermarket I could hear the lock constantly trying to engage and I'm guessing it was trying to lock itself automatically, as it does when you pull away after started up. When I got home I locked the car and tried the back door and sure enough it was unlocked. Any ideas on this? Faulty lock perhaps?

My 2016 1.2 Yeti went in for an MOT yesterday and afterwards the engine warning light came on and I paid to have it diagnosed and I’m told that the G140 downstream o2 sensor needs replacing. The dealership had quoted £261.89 for a new one to be fitted, which seems steep (£152.24 for the sensor itself). Any ideas on whether I could source one cheaper?

The Morgan was clearly in the wrong but the person in the car behind maybe should have prioritised taking evasive action by turning right a bit and overtaking rather than just using the horn.

Looks like a hearse.

Why should you avoid them? So you don’t end up with your car trashed or injuring everyone?
-
I like how their reaction was to jam on the horn rather than take evasive action.

I have Android Auto on my Bolero and it’s a bit of a faff getting back to it on screen if I navigate to the radio. I have to hit the Menu button and then scroll across to Smart Link and tap on that. Anyone know of a shortcut to switch between the two?

Congrats on the new purchase. I’m three weeks into ownership of mine and I’m loving it.
-
I can’t help, sorry, but wondering what you’ve bought instead.

I live in a village so get to experience the twisty bits and it is indeed good fun and handles well.

It is a one time only cost. I was charged £130 by the dealer and they send off for a code and then activate it on your ICE. Well worth the money I think.

That’s my thinking as well.

Yes that’s exactly right

Today I took Big Red on his first long jaunt since I bought him. A 150 mile round trip to Coventry, Northampton and back to Luton. A couple of things impressed me: 1. I averaged 44.5mpg - no doubt helped by around 25 miles of 50mph average speed cameras, but even so I was pleasantly surprised by that as I was doing 75mph the rest of the time and had a fair bit of stop start city driving as well. 2. It was a really comfortable and relaxing drive. I’ve been suffering from terrible back pains for the last couple of weeks and wasn’t relishing the prospect of three and a half hours in the car. Turns out it’s the most comfortable I’ve been in weeks and my back is a lot better than when I started off this morning. All in all, I’m even more in love with Big Red and really pleased that I treated myself to an early Xmas pressie This forum helped me make up my mind to purchase so thanks everyone.

I took my “new” Yeti to this dealer last week to get a new AC compressor fitted under warranty and also have Smartlink activated. They were very friendly and accomodating and lent me a courtesy car for a couple of days. Very happy with the service - Jordan in the service dept was a top bloke.
-
I can see the service record for mine on the app as well.
-
Air con now working and Smartlink installed. Fantastic service from Progress Skoda in Letchworth.
-
Compressor fitted but unfortunately the system is not holding pressure so Big Red is having to stay overnight :( I’ve got one of the new Fabias as a courtesy car and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the little 1Ltr 3 pot in it.

New compressor required and being fitted as we speak.

I recently bought a 2016 SE 1.2 and I’ve noticed a kind of loud intermittent grinding sort of noise coming from the engine bay when my aircon is on. I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow to get Smartlink activated and I’ve asked them to look at it, but was wondering if anyone wanted to hazard a guess at what it might be.
