  1. Oh yea, not hard to add a cut out, style wise they all look the same
  2. All mk1 saloons have the same rear bumper 👍
  3. Be fine mate in the short term, it will throw up a few codes and EML, but won’t effect the performance or the running of the car
  4. If I remember right you need 2 x 4mm and 2 x 6mm for under the inlet, I used one of one 4mm nipples for my boost gauge tho
  5. Mine done exactly the same, luckily it was a couple days before I was booked in for a refurb turbo, so got it done at the same time
  6. There are plenty of VRS breakers on the #ovrsmk1oc owners group on FB
  7. eBay will be your best bet, you will be able to pick a pair up pretty cheap
  8. I bought a Compbrake Diverter Valve last December for my VRS, recently I had noticed a drop in vacuum on my boost gauge it had gone from around 22inhg at idle to about 17, so it indicated a boost/vacuum leak, it turns out that a oring was missing from the DV and it was letting by, I tried to contacted Compbrake but got absolutely no where with them and they were very unhelpful... so now I’m stuck with a useless dv that I wasted £60 on and it’s been over 6 months so I can’t get PayPal involved.... so don’t bother with this company and don’t bother with aftermarket dv’s..... And also, where did the oring end up?? At a guess it’s in my 6 month old replacement turbo 😡
  9. I’m a member of that group, the R32 VRS sounds nuts 👌
  10. Exhaust blowing? I recently had to change my down pipe because the flexi joint had gone and like you it was quiet at idle and i could only hear it when the revs increased
  11. Yea they rot out pretty quick really. At least your elbow came out in one piece, mine snapped off in the oil filter housing and was a complete pig to remove
  12. It is now, I also had to change all the crankcase breather pipework and clean the throttle body This is the mess the previous owner owner left for me
  13. Precision Turbo Services in Birmingham http://www.precisionturbos.co.uk/
  14. I’ve just changed the brake vacuum pipes on my VRS, one pipe on the check valve was completely split and a few of the other joints were pretty rotten so ive replaced them all
  15. 118k and 16 years old, I’ve just given the engine a major overhaul, done the Turbo, feed pipes, had the sump off for a clean, new oil pick up, also did the cam belt, tensioner, water pump and Aux drive belt, plus plugs, oil/filter and coolant , she’s now set for a few more miles... Ohh and I had to replace the downpipe/cat, because I found the flexi joint to be in a poor state and blowing...
  16. Turn it off, that’s the best advice I can give, it can be downright dangerous in the wet and ice, it has a habit of cutting In the just when it’s not needed, ie pulling out at junctions or overtaking....
  17. Had my turbo replaced today, I knew it was leaking oil and noisy, but I didn’t realise it was so badly worn......
  18. Same, I just fitted one of these in my vRS... https://www.halfords.com/technology/car-audio/car-stereos/pioneer-deh-s410bt-car-stereo I had to swap the power wires as mentioned before, but didn’t bother with a booster, it’s picking up the radio stations just fine without one
  19. So I done mine at the weekend and I had a fair bit of oil in the throttle body, guess I’ll to investigate the PCV valve and crank breather, fingers crossed it’s that and not the turbo lol
