  1. Hello all, i've got Roomster 2010 1.6 BTS engine and wrote few topics here reagrd different problems i had with air-con. long story short: Heater matrix probaly blown, coolant fluid overflow the air-con cabin above the airbag ECU and float it (water shown on carpet in left passenger side) what probably caused a short circuit. VCDS scan provides the fault: 049489 - No Communications with Airbag Control Module U0151 - 008 Googled few "airbag Fuse for Roomster" and came across with the following result - link. what leads me to think that in case of short circuit in the ECU, maybe this relay/adapter burnt and need to be replaced. so, few questions for the experts here, please: 1. is really the "fuse" for the airbag ECU? if yes, can someone can guide me where its located for replacment? picturs will be awsome. 2. if it's not the fuse, is there any other fuse/relay for the airbag ECU? 3. as far as i can understand, the ECU itself should not be burned while short-circuit occurs. (i'm an electrical Eng and if i would design it, i'll put fuse somewhere on the feed line) appriciate any assitance thanks, Pini.
  2. Hi all, my skoda roomster 2010 started to shut off without any seeable reason. sometimes it happens 5 minutes after starting and sometimes after 30 mins. I did a scan with VCDS and as it seems right now that I have some short-circuit in the engine electrical system. attached VCDS log. can someone guide me how to locate the short-circuit? many thanks to helpers. 3. Hi all, Want to fix my know issue with heat exchanger. Cant reach the tubes of it from the engine. How to remove air filter box? Pic attached. Cant find any screws..
  4. @Wino scanned the measured temps at HVAC unit. attached in the log. temp. button set to highest, fan-3, direction air flow - passengers. can you advise what could be the problem? log for Wino.txt
  5. @Wino, if for instance one of the temp sensors were malfunction - I should see it in the VCDS soft.?

  7. yes, you right - I confused with auxiliary heater - this one for sure I haven't there.. only the Heat Exchanger. tommorow i will search those units and update here. BTW, i do have VCDS software + ODB plug. a log can assist here?
  8. Hi @KenONeill, guys, I didn't mistaken with my terminology regard the heat exchanger.. It is indeed my heat exchanger that blown - why? Because if i remember correctly, when i opened the case i didn't see the heat matrix at all! Is it make sense? There are models of roomster without heat matrix? Wino, I think it doesn't related to motor, why? Because today i tried to move the temperature button from coldest to hotest and i listened quitly - there is a noise of motor working to move some flap when i did it. So, my intuition guides me ragard something electronic.. Cought my eye the temp. Unit that you mentioned (27 in the site). Also cought my eye items no. 35A and 35B - the "sense" units. Maybe can you indicate where they are located? I want you to realize the situation even further : My dad drove without water -> heat exchanger blows-> water leaks -> airbag ECU getting short.. You know what i mean? It has to be something that related to water and electricity near the heat exchanger..
  9. @KenONeill - thanks for the info. I searched the component in Ebay and that was the name it gave. @Wino which motor\potentiometer did you mention? I checked the air conditioner control unit and it seems ok, all works fine.. is there any heat-sensor that decide when to bypass un-bypass heater matrix?
  10. Aubrey, thanks! You are great helper! I have climatic air conditioning and not climatronic. Regrad the flexible cable that controls the hot water flow - can you guide me where it's located? And how to verify that he works good? Thanks again!
  11. Hi all, Happy to see your assistance to all problems here! Iv'e got a Roomster 2010 1.6 petrol. My heat air conditioner doesn't work. Cooling works fine. Tring to figure it out, i opened the big plastic unit that holds the gear handle & the 12v socket and arrived to the heat exchanger. Anyway, got to realized that my heat exchanger has blown up and it's leaking (what explains why water in engine dissappears without any visible leakage + why my airbug ECU shorted out). In short, I want to fix the heating, can someone please provide any data if leaking heat exchanger can cause cold air to flow while the temp button set to highest temp. Or is there any electronic heating unit that does the heat? Actually, I can't really understand this heat exchanger issue - if hot water flows thru it, why cold air flow?? What is all about? hot water VIA radiators gives hot air! Confused. Very appreciate your help.
  12. Ok guys, You absolutely right! It was a broken wire - i bridged it and now all works! Thanks guys!
  13. Thanks guys! very helpful your advises! will update.
  14. Hi, thanks for the replay! The fuse checked by me and of course it is ok. About the tailgate connection, how should I check if the wire is ok? Stripe it out and check Voltage?
