New cover fitted today. Tidies up the engine bay nicely now.

Today I finally got around to replacing the air intake cover as the old one was scratched. At the same time I also fitted a rear bumper protector from Milotec. Later this week I will be fitting the new replacement vRS sill protectors and original bonnet badge to replace the aftermarket badge that was fitted to the car by the previous owner. Already had a dent on the bonnet taken out. Loving the car even if 34.7mpg long term is taking a bit to get used to from my last octavia which was a diesel.

Was it easy removing the original sill protectors?

Just been in contact with my local dealership and to supply and fit the replacement vRS sill protectors they wanted £219.60 a side or £93.60 supplied only. As a result I’m gonna order the new ones and fit them myself.

Hi there, I am hoping that someone on here may be able to help me. I have received purchased a three year old mk 4 Octavia vRS estate and my intention is to do a few things to it to get it back to looking factory finished. The car has covered 23k from new and generally is in pretty good nick. The car is going to be machine polished and ceramic sealed in due course to make the outside look mint again but there are a couple of bit under the bonnet that I want to improve on. One of the main issues under the bonnet is that the cover over the air intake is scratched and is letting the car down at this time. I have googled and am struggling to find the right part number for the cover only rather than the complete unit. Attached is a photo of the cover I mean. My plan, if it is possible is to order and fit a new cover once I know what the part number is. If anyone can help me I would be very gratefully. Kind regards Mark

Hi there, I have recently purchased a 2021 Octavia vRS 245bhp estate and am gradually going through the car to get it back to showroom condition. One of the things that is letting the car down is the vRS sill protectors which appears to be a regular issue for owners from this thread. My question is does anyone know what the part number is for these sill protectors so I can order replacements that keep the car as original as possible. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
