Yeah, agree, mine took 8 months with an order in August 21, and at the time of collection things were getting worse according to the customer experience manager at my dealer. Can't imagine it having improved the last few months.

I personally like the Area view camera, I had it on my Kodiaq and now have it on my Superb. Rear view camera is generally good enough anyway, but for me the area view helps in tighter spots and checking if I've parked within the lines I like the side camera to double check how close I am to the curb to save my wheels. I went for an L&K for all the gadgets as I loved them on my Kodiaq, especially the ACC and lane assist. As I generally get warm easily, leather with ventilatiled seats are an absolute delight. Lead times are long at the moment, the customer experience team at my dealer had a long list of calls to make to give people bad news regarding their order.

Got to collect my car today, an iV in L&K trim with massage seats and area view as extras. My first hybrid car, felt strange driving home on pure electric but a lovely comfy and silent drive. Been bad weather here all day, so no chance yet for some nice pics.

Just got a call from the dealer: my car is expected to arrive this week, collection on Wednesday next week. Ordered end of August 2021, build completed on February 18th 2022 and now nearly here in the UK 😀

Ok, things seem to be moving, as the dealer got a message today that my car was actually built this week and will be prepped for transport. Bit strange as on Tuesday they got a build week for next week, but no complaints from my side

Lucky you! My week 7 build was not started this week but should be done next week. Ordered end of August, but it's an L&K with a few extras.

Didn't say it was easy, it takes a few emails to get an update. At my dealer, they've handed this over from sales to the customer experience team, they seem a lot more responsive than the sales team.

No news does seem to be good news at the moment, I did get an update in the end: no changes to the provisional build week 7. At least that's progress from before Also got my home charging point installation scheduled for next month as I'm getting an iV, so it's on time before the government grant ends in March.

I'm in between with build week 7 😀 Tried to get an update from my dealer, nothing but silence so far...

They initially talked about an October slot and December delivery, but on my paperwork it stated delivery mid February delivery. No mention about production date. The paperwork was done in August, but there was no date until last week. I'm sure that week is also fluid, especially in these times. So yeah, looks like the date was only set after the order was accepted by the factory, even though the order had been in the system for a while.

Finally been given a provisional build week for my Superb Estate L&K iV, week 7 of 2022. Signed the order form end of August. Didn't even have a provisional date until now.

I have an Edition with the 1.5TSI for about 2years now, absolutely love it. Got it with ACC and Lane Assist, makes for a great long distance drive. The Edition had most kit I wanted, and leather upholstery. No gearbox issues, it did get a software update sometime in 2019/2020, but I didn’t have any issues anyway.
