  1. The issue still occur now and again but I put some sticky pads on the inside of the glove compartment draw/lid to help vibration rattle which helps. I may have had multiple rattles. It can be difficult to determine the source of a sound so it could be coming from the glove compartment - worth padding the lid area to see if this helps. My car has had new front shocks, new tyres and wheel alignments work over the last 2 years which may be having an impact as well. TBH, I never did find the source of the rattle(s) but it occurs so infrequently now that I have almost forgotten about it.
  2. Yup exactly. AC is ok at the moment so I'm going to leave it as it is. The receipt thingy is a good idea which I will try to remember to ask for
  3. Probably better to get it serviced when it is empty - then you know it has really been topped up!😀
  4. They quoted me £140 for the AC service 😟
  5. Many thanks marineboy
  6. Over the last 2 years I have been using a combination of main dealer and independent garage servicing/work (indy). I recently took my Superb into the main dealer for some work and they reported that the AC service was due. The indy did a pollen filter change last year. Does anyone know what is the difference between an AC service and pollen filter change ? Does the AC service go beyond the pollen filter change etc ? Any help appreciated.
  7. Thanks all for your postings, replaced the resistor and it seems to be ok now
  8. Thanks Breezy_Pete - this is really useful
  9. Crasher - it's a problem on all speeds. Probably a blown fuse but maybe resister pack issues as well. Any idea if there is more than 1 fuse for the blower system ?
  10. Thanks KeithCheetham - It was working on full speed and then just stopped working on all speeds. Does not work at all now. It's AC but not climatic system
  11. Hi, Fabia Mk 2 2014 1.2 S The blower fan has stopped working for the 2nd time in the last year. A local garage replaced a fuse and got it working last time. If I remember correctly they said that there is a second fuse which had blown (I checked the main fuse box and all fuses were ok last time). I wasn't aware of any other fuse. Any idea where this 2nd fuse may be ? Any help appreciated
  12. Thanks varooom ... "I should have gone to Spec ......." 😀
  13. Hi All, Does anyone know what the torque settings are for a Superb Mk3 19" Alloys ? I can't find this in the owners manual in the Skoda connect app or online ? Any help appreciated. Thanks
  14. Just posting an update - the problems was a No 1 coil pack failure. Replaced that and it has sorted out the problem No 1 coil pack failure. No 1 coil pack failure fixed this
  15. Thanks toot. It is a 1.2 TSI and yes, it looks like the same issue as the posting a year ago. I will change the spark plug tomorrow and update. Cheers
  16. Fabia 2014 I was driving along a motorway last night when these warning (ESC warning light (red) and EPC light) lights came on. There was a loss of power and what seemed like a mis-fire within the engine. Would the ESC failure cause this loss of power ? I looked at the engine bay and the Fabia engine seems to be jumping a bit - seems like a mis-fire to me. I was surprised to experience the ESC failure causing this type of issue. Any help appreciated as to what this issue could be.
  17. Thanks rum4mo. The clicking noise comes on at startup and goes off. Then immediately I press the Air Con circulation button it starts clicking again, so I think it is related to the flaps.
  18. This noise appears to start when the ignition key is turned. I don't now think it is related to the air con/heater mechanism as the banging noise is heard even though the fan is not on. Could this be related to the fuel pump ?
  19. Hi, Fabia 2014, 1.2L Recently I have noticed a knocking noise coming from the air con/heater area of my Fabia. This starts when I put on the air con. It goes off after about a minute or two. Any idea what this could be ? thanks
  20. Well done numskull. Great result. At least you didn’t have to open up the rear tailgate.
  21. This may be useful. Contains different M3 manuals. I found this useful when I tackled the same issue. https://cardiagn.com/skoda-superb-iii-v3-owners-manual/
  22. I had the same issue recently and fixed it. In my case water was only coming out near the rear number plate and not the rear wiper. When removing the white pipe connectors at the end of the washer pipes which attach onto the elbows etc, turn them 90 degree clockwise then pull the pipe out. If you do not turn them 90 degrees first they will break. When refitting turn back the connector 90 degrees anti-clockwise then push on to lock. I managed to use a piece of wire to unblock the pipe. As I live in a very hard water area I am now using cheap bottled water (very soft - 30-50 ppm in terms of calcium) rather than tap water so hopefully will not get this issue again.
