Earlier post above by Braai reported success using NTFS. All the files in the MIB1 folder are < 1 GB so FAT32 file size limit of 4GB wouldn't be an issue.
I just came across another thread with Dave77 reporting alternate instructions to update via SD card which I'll check out (assuming they apply to MIB1 Columbus too) https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/452217-columbus-on-my17-can-not-find-update-files/?tab=comments#comment-5081591
I'll try FAT32 and the alternate instructions too.

Hi, I tried updating the map using the P85_N60S5MIBH3_ROW.7z file but it failed. I have a 2015 Octavia vRS with MIB1 Columbus (in Australia).
System info shows
Device part number: 5E0035045D
Hardware: H44
Software: 0371
Navigation Database: V03959801EN0039 ROW 2015
I downloaded the P85_N60S5MIBH3_ROW.7z file, extracted and copied the 2 folders and metainfo2.txt file to both SD Card and USB thumb drive. Tried each twice, once reformatted as exFAT and then as NTFS filesystem.
Update Software fails after some time searching in all 4 cases: SD Card exFAT/NTFS, USB thumb drive exFAT/NTFS. There are no other files present at the top level folder. Error message is
Is this the right file and will this map update work for Columbus MIB1 units in Australia? Has anyone seen this error before and have thoughts on the cause/fix?
Many thanks.

Hi, I took my eyes off this after Dec `19 until Rednut pinged me. Looks like you went down the same screens as I did. erWin build data for my car says it's a High Radio (Gen1) which is MIB1 I reckon.
I formatted both SD card & USB stick as exFAT & NTFS but don't think I did FAT32; will give that a try this/next weekend and report back
