  1. Hi We are thinking of selling the misses MK1 vRS and getting a 1.2TSI Monte. I've been to look at one today as I was passing a garage, it seemed nice 40k, 61 plate. Is their anything I need to know about these? I know they are on a cam chain (anyones slipped) Whats the 1.2 like I had a 1.4vRS and although I didnt have an oil issue plenty did. Also from memory isnt the 40k / 4 Year service a major one? Does anyone know what needs doing? I'm going to take my VCDS laptop on Saturday and take it for a drive and see if it logs any faults.
  2. Good luck with your sale. Get in touch if you would like to see the car. I am picking up my new car from near Birmingham if you are interested in buying

Team Dynamics Racing Pro Race 1.2 in Anthracite and a set of Skoda Zeniths. Both alloys are 18". I've owned the car for approx 18 months now and its been a pleasure to own, I've wanted one since I sat in one in a showroom in 2009 Reason for sale is that I fancy another car (Fiesta ST2), so many cars I'd like to own and so little time. What Skoda said... In the era of mass production, it’s rare to have the opportunity to own something exceptional. But that’s the opportunity Škoda is offering with its Octavia vRS Limited Edition. With a production run of just 500 units, the Limited Edition ensures exclusivity. Based on the existing Škoda Octavia vRS, the Limited Edition comes with some notable additions. On the outside, it benefits from sleek and stylish anthracite grey metallic paint made available especially for the car. The sports styling continues with 18” alloy which highlight the red brake callipers, with red and black Limited Edition badging on the rear. On the inside, the Limited Edition has been upgraded with bespoke design black and grey premium grade Italian leather sports seats (probably 2 pampered cows), each individually stitched with the vRS and Limited Edition logo and tagged with the unique production number of the car. All this is on top of the outstanding vRS specification which includes front fog lights, ESP, dual zone air conditioning, lowered suspension and twin chrome exhaust. Yellow stuff on front. Clutch replaced when I bought the car (18 months ago) as the release bearing was noisy (common fault) Inlet manifold replaced due to common fault. Cars been washed on a weekly basis using a 2 bucket technique and waxed when needed using Colinite. Car always used with Shell Super Unleaded while under ownership. Tyres good all round. Last service replaced spark plugs and all filters so only oil service next time HPI Clear. I have the report from when I purchased it. Bad Bits Spoiler beginning to fade. Will machine polish if I get the time. Since replacing rear pads you sometimes get a clunk noise then changing direction like doing a 3 point turn. Local VAG specialist say its nothing to worry about and is because pads have a tiny bit of play in caliper. Could be fixed for the price of new rear pads. Some curbing on both sets of alloys Stone chips on front end. Not bad bad for age. Boring bits... Urban mpg 27.7 mpg Extra Urban mpg 47.9 mpg Average mpg 37.7 mpg Insurance Group 30 Euro Emissions Standard 4 CO2 Emissions 175 g/km VED Band H I generally get about 35mpg on average, mostly journeys less than 15 miles. On a long motorway journey at a steady 65 mph you can get 45mpg. Any further questions please call me on 07866 6076 double two or email harry.burns80(at)gmail.com or PM Viewings welcome. 4. Just changed discs and pads on mine and went for standard discs and yellow stuff pads. Stops much better now, not had chance to test for fade after lots of heavy braking. Would have liked to have gone for r32 setup or Porsche brembo setup but funds didn't stretch

  6. I had this and it needed a whole new inlet (comes with sensors) I think I paid just shy of £500 in total parts are 06J 998 907 B - Repair Kit - Qty 4 £21.00 06J 133 201 AS - Manifold - Qty 1 £282.69 The main issue I had was MIL on and revs would rise from idle once engine was up to running temp
  7. Had a MK1 vRS and really liked it although if I had to downgrade my LE I'd be looking for a well looked after LCR, the BAM engine is a peach and its a car I've always wanted to own
  8. very nice :-) Enjoy the seats, I love mine. Is it a proper vRS or a diesel?
  9. Mine does weird things too and sometimes uses more than other times. I think tsi engines do this my fabia vrs mk2 used to go through patches of higher usage then it'd be fine for a few 1000 miles I used to think it used more if I didn't boot it much and drive economically.
  10. Owners? Service History? Cambelt done? Tread on tyres? Life on discs and pads? any major repairs / parts replace?
  11. tmc box took me 5 mins to fit or remove, would be hard/impossible to do when engine hot. 1st time takes a little longer. Only removed mine for warranty work and service. i would recommend tmc and use again on a new car
