  1. ok the dealer currently selling the car has stated the car has no issues. This may be true to them due to lack of knowledge if they have not been informed of the history of the car when purchasing from webuyanycar. Im tempted to give them a call or link them to this thread to highlight whats wrong with it
  2. Ok not all dealers are crooks. But Auto2000 prestige(dealer in Epping) are terrible. After I returned the vehicle to them and got a refund they told me the car needed a new camkit yet they still sold the vehicle onto @tiffersdog without rectifying the issue. But they may have not known about the issue before selling to me but certainly did after I returned the car. Yet still sold it on
  3. ok no reply on ebay so submitted a requested via email had a response telling me about the service history etc I've just said the following "No worries, thankyou for the information much appreciated. Has the car had any issues with it at all?" Lets see what they reply with.........
  4. ive dropped them a message on ebay asking for history/ any work carried out. I'll give DVSA a call today. Dealers are b**stards
  5. They will also knock £250 off the price straight away so don't be fooled thinking your getting a good deal
  6. No clue if the camkit was actually replaced. Here's a list of things I found wrong with that car: 1) Engine warning light coming up multiple times (due to the camkit not sure if they have actually fixed it) 2) Car is an ex police vehicle = thrashed! which they failed to state on their ad or inform me of. 3) drivers wheel arch cover is missing 4) look under the drivers wheel arch and youll see the drivers headlight is held in place by a cable tie 5) Bonnet latch isn't working properly doesn't close with ease. 6) something not quite right with the auto folding mirrors (drivers one would fold in but not out) 7) car only came with one key 8) some scratches and dings which you can't see in the pics but you'd expect that for the age of the car. 9) states it just had an RAC inspection. I checked with the RAC and this is false. Based on my experience with the dealer I would avoid them at all costs. They had my car and money for a week and a half before refunding me. What they couldn't grasp was the simple fact I had photos of the engine management light and fault codes was more than enough to be legally entitled to a refund (spoke to trading standards numerous times) I also noticed (after getting my money back) that majority of Facebook reviews(probably Google too) are just friends with the owner on Facebook
  7. Thanks for your help with the AA report! Much appreciated!
  8. Just to update. Got my money back after about a week and a half of them having the car. The car needed a cam kit. Don't see how they only checked this after selling the vehicle!
  9. Exactly. I have evidence of the faults and finding this post about the poor AA inspection only backs me up even more @silver1011 thanks for the info on my other topic about the errors
  10. Yep would have been done by now! And the fact it's been trying to be sold since last may is not good. Spoke with some VW specialists and as soon as I mentioned the A/B on the filter alarm bells started to ring The pure fact the car has an engine management light throwing various errors on day of purchase trading standards have said I am legally allowed to reject the vehicle and get a refund. Have also asked police department for info on the vehicle. Regardless whether it's clean or not. The car has faults!
  11. Thanks iwantdsg for your personal message. They are 2 physically separate garages. The errors that come up were P0014 and P0011 relating to Cam shaft position A and B. And strangely enough on the air filter box to the right of the engine the letters A and B were written on it. My guess to relate to the engine on which side the A/B CAMS are. Highly suspicious. And upon further investigation does appear to be an ex police car which I was also not informed of. Picture is from Flickr who takes pictures of emergency vehicles
  12. Unfortunately for me I bought this car Wednesday 13th Feb just gone! After 5 mins of driving engine management light came on. Went back to dealer had a look at the code, cleared it and they said I could get someone local to me fix and they will repair or I can be offered a refund. I said I'll drive home see how it is. That night the same error code and a additional 2 appeared. At this point even if the car was repaired I still wouldn't be comfortable with it. Have asked for a refund from dealer yesterday and had the car dropped off with them and as you would expect they are being awkward. I have spoken with trading standards and they have said the fact the car is even producing an error means it's not of satisfactory quality and I'm legally entitled to a refund! I'm very glad that I can across this post which proves my point the car has serious issues as well as the errors it's producing!
  13. 2009 Skoda superb 3.6 V6 has come up with these error codes. Cleared them down. drive car and no codes however when you floor it the codes then reappear after a few minutes. Any ideas what could be causing this?
