Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
Thank all but I am now confused does my vehicle have a cam belt or a cam chain? all I know is that it’s the 2.0 TDI automatic 4x4 (3T4) engine - 2014 model. I called into the dealers and one ‘mechanic’ there said it’s a cam belt and another said it’s a cam chain! Not much faith in them now!!!

Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
Thanks for the info I know the main dealers are trying to get you to ‘service’ everything as it helps their bills !!! getting past the service reception to speak to someone more knowledgeable is quite difficult. The receptionist is only following the check list on their screen. i will try and contact skoda direct and see what they recommend thanks again Ootohere for your help

Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
My vehicle is 2014 superb hatchback 2.0 litres automatic DSG 4x4 l&k model and I have received an email from my local skoda dealer (the one I bought it from new 10 years ago) saying from their records the cam belt was due to be changed . The email states skoda advises replacement at 40k or 5 years which ever comes first. This dealer changed the cam belt and water pump in 2019 at 46000 miles.

Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
I have a 2014 superb which has done 74800 miles. I had the cam belt and water pump replaced at 46000 miles in October 2019 I have been informed that the cam belt and water pump requires changing at 40k or 5 years which ever comes first. The vehicle has only done 28800 miles since this work has been done but it is over the 5 years. This is an expensive job (quoted over £500.00) any advice as to should I ‘bite the bullet’ and replace the cam belt + pump

Road angel dashcam installation
I have purchased a road angel halo view dashcam ( one that’s fits over the rear view mirror) there is a rear facing camera which can act as a reversing camera which can be mounted externally. The camera can be connected to the reversing light so when the reverse gear is selected the camera goes into reverse parking mode. my questions are 1 has anyone fitted this type of dashcam and is it worth it 2 if it is a good device where is wire (and colour) to the reverse light that I need to ‘splice’ into? 3 where can I get a copy of the wiring diagram for this car? the car is a Superb L&K 2 litre automatic 4x4 hatchback 2014 model thanks
