  1. Been offered £9300 for my 2014 Superb. In excellent condition, L&K fully loaded, 37000 miles. One careful owner. All seating is ventilated hot or cold. etc. Is this a fare price to pay. Thanks for any replies. Regards John

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post. Getting old is not helping.

  2. Interesting topic. I have a 2014 Superb l&K. Took car into local skoda dealer to diagnose road noise at 50 MPH. They said the noise was from the rear wheels due to uneven ware. The car has done 3200 miles over 7 years. Picking it up today and I will be asking for a diagnosis of what caused this to happen. Do the rear wheels need alignment, I thought rear wheels were fixed? Thanks in advance for any responses.
  3. Some valid points if not at least somewhat unkind and thoughtless. I have been driving for 48 years. The worst that has happened is one parking fine and one speeding ticket for a motorway event. My current experience of divers is they frequently move from lane to lane without notice or indicating, whilst being so close as to not be able to stop without rear ending should an emergency braking be necessary. Undertaking now appears to be a common rule of the the road, minor driving errors are now seen as a green light for abuse and fist waving. Where has the old fashioned courtesy gone? I live near a very busy junction and the number of accidents are becoming legend, red traffic lights are seen as a signal to go not stop, broken white lines at a junction are seen as an option to ignore them and has resulted in a couple of very bad accidents. I could go on but what is the point. If modern day drivers used the road properly, us elderly drivers would not be distracted by such dangerous behaviour. I am not alone with my comments. I have park assist on my car, used it once to amuse by grandson he was fascinated by it, never used it since as I am a very capable driver; when i feel I am not, i will voluntarily hand in my license.
  4. Hi, many thanks, it has prompted me to at lest consider it. Appreciate the links.
  5. Wow, very impressive. Sounds like you need to be a skilful auto mechanic to fit such an upgrade.
  6. HI, thanks for the reply. Is there some guidance advise that I could look up?

    How effective are they?

  7. HI, I am having difficulty letting go of my 2014 Superb L&K. However, I would like a car with additional safety gizmos. Does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade the Superb with a reversing camera and lane assist plus another useful additions?
  8. Thanks for the replies. Gave the tyre a good look over no obvious issues. Swapping tyre a good idea,
  9. My 2014 Superb L&K has a strange whining noise ( no wife was not with me ) coming from what appears to be front offside. It only happens at 50 mph. Milage 27000 ish I can drive through the noise at about 53+ Thought about it being a tyre or possible wheel bearing. 5years old 27K I would be surprised if it was a bearing. Thoughts pleas
  10. HI Did you go to Volume in the Tone setting ? It should be there if it is available
  11. Hi ja ja Go to Tone, volume settings, and PDC should be there. There are 4 choices. if the dance steps do not work then as Rusty has stated, this option may not be available to you. Also, I think the slider is moved to the right to lower the volume effect and left to increase it, strange I know.
  12. Try Rusty Nuts I sent him my unit last week for an upgrade, plus the unit was having issues. now working fine with latest firmware and maps. Look him up on Briskoda. Good value for money in my opinion
  13. I am with Stuart on this one. I remember him buying his car about the same time as me. Mine is 5 years old and does 5k year, is in mint condition. Recently had a service and cam belt. I read somewhere that if a recognised local indi within a ( I forget the number ) of miles radius to the dealer, then the Skoda dealer will match their offer and they did, saved me a lot of money. A week or two later, heater fan failed. Spoke to Skoda and they agreed 24000miles should not result in fan failure. They spoke to the local dealer and gave me a very discount. Swings and roundabouts but for me, using the local skoda dealers has paid off over range years.
  14. My Columbus had a hissy fit and would not work, simply faded in and out. Once more Rusty Nuts to the rescue 🚵‍♀️. I sent my unit to him and I received it back yesterday ( one day return ). Very well packaged 🤗. For a very reasonable price, he sorted it out for me. Not the first time I have used his services, I just hope he outlasts my car 🤣 Thanks Rusty
  15. Jeff you are a credit to the cause. I enjoyed reading what I display often; I story that is a complaint but by the time you get to the end the recipient is just about waking up to what is happening. It is a polite way of getting the message across without directly offending anyone. My wife goes crazy when I do this court of stuff. I agree about the car wash, mine in now 5 years old and has not seen a car wash. Therefore, no swirls or scratches; just a grumpy old man with two buckets and clean cloths.
