Hi mate, i have a 2018 FL Vrs and couldn’t describe the issue I’m having any more perfectly than you have here. I got it re-gassed and had the filter changed at last service, air con works when you press max windscreen button and you get a bit of propulsion. As soon as you select front or feet it still blows as you can hear it but there’s no wind coming out of the vents. you switch the air con off briefly and you get a big gust at the cold temp you want it, mainly due to the system ‘working’ but just blowing in the dash somewhere and not in the cabin where you want/need it. I’ve also noticed the chiller in the glove compartment has the paltry air flow experienced from the front vents when air con is switched on. After leaving it off for a few seconds it then becomes warm. So you switch it back on only to be greeted with a trickle of air coming out of the vents again. it’s highly frustrating. Done the reset trick a number of times as you’ve described you’ve done also doesn’t do anything to help. I used to notice the fans changing orientation when i reversed. This is to prevent any fumes coming in as someone has said above, WIll have to have a check on OBD11 to see if there’s any faults reported.

I can also confirm this does the same on a 2018 Octavia FL. I just found this thread trying to ascertain why the burners make more noise when I select reverse lol

Hey I know this is an old thread but having difficulty getting mine out on a 2018 Mk III. The pictures you’ve posted are great but how did you release the tabs? I can see the small rectangular holes but don’t know if I’m pushing in or how hard etc. hope someone can help

Hey sorry for resurrecting this old post but I’m no searching for a solution to this problem for my 6 year old. Happy for him to watch stuff but it makes him feel sick after a while looking down at it. Having it in the seat so there’s no looking down would be great. So I have a 2018 vrs with no sunroof unfortunately. Excellent suggestion but I can’t take advantage of it myself. Suction cups from the window perhaps could work though. What did you end up doing?

Hey folks. Thought I’d resurrect this post as I too now have the need to get a holder of some description for a screen to hang over the VRS seats with their fixed headrests. not got the screen yet but just purchased the DigiDash and it has HDMI out. My boy has to lean over and watch the screen from the back currently that’s positioned in the front. So having something close I can send Netflix to is a bonus. wondering if the OP had any luck in the end? hope to hear from someone soon brad
