Hi mate, There is no smell with the aircon on just with it off. Do you think it's still worth getting the car bomb?

Hi everyone, I am getting a fishy smell through the blowers but only when not using the aircon. It seems to go away when the aircon is on. I know people will say to just use aircon all the time then but I don't want to do that all the time though. BTW I can sometimes smell this from outside the car so presume this may be something under the bonnet somewhere. The car has been to the garage who couldn't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

Yeah it was weird but you can see why it was frustrating me. At least I know in case anybody else has the same issue.

I have figured it out. It was a problem with Google Assistant. I had this linked to my old (Free) Spotify Account. So in summary, Waze was fine, Google Maps was fine and Spotify was fine. Although just to note that you can link Waze & Google Maps from the Spotify app. Thank you for trying to help.

I haven't linked Spotify to Waze, forget Waze for a minute. For whatever stupid reason it will not accept that I have a premium account. Its driving me mental and I'm obviously not explaining myself properly. Basically it won't ay a specific song via voice command. It's rediculous.

It really isn't that difficult to work out. I can't use my voice to choose a song because it comes back and tells me that option is only available for Premium Users. I have uninstalled and re-installed Spotify but AA still fails to recognise I have a premium account. I don't want to play about with buttons to choose a song whilst driving. I want to be able to tell it what song I want and bingo. Its becoming a pain in the arris to be fair.

I'm out for a drive today so will see what happens as I have re-installed Spotify.

I have now done this so will let you know if that fixes it. Does it make a difference if Waze is logged in with one email and Spotify is another?

When I say linked to Android Auto I meant Waze. (on Android Auto) Yes I can choose a song on my phone but the whole point of Android Auto is to not be using your phone whilst driving and get a fine and points on your licence.

I think I may have figured it out mate. You can only have 1 Live Stream going at once, unless you have the Premium Family Plan. So stream No. 1 is the phone (Premium) Stream No. 2 is Android Auto (Not Premium) I find this totally bonkers and pretty much makes premium Spotify redundant on Android Auto without spending even more money per month to upgrade to a family plan. I think I will be cancelling Spotify pretty soon. Plenty of other apps that will work with Auto.

Please help me. I have a premium Spotify account but for whatever reason Android Auto in the car WILL NOT accept the fact that I have a premium account. For example, if I press the voice command icon and say "Play Crazy Train by Ozzy Osborne on Spotify" she tells me "Choosing songs is only available to Premium Spotify Members" The account linked to Android Auto is the same one as is on my phone, which is the Premium Account. I can manually search on my phone for a specific song and it will play it on Android Auto. The only thing I can possibly think of is that Spotify is classing the car as a completely different entity and thus not allowing Premium (if trying to select a song via Android Auto). If this is the case, it's completely retarded! Any suggestions?

Thanks for the comments. It's a 2.0 Tdi 150. Definitely not in sport mode as this is an ongoing thing I've noticed. Think I must still be getting used to automatic as I've not driven too many in the past. Mine does change around 2k ish so that sounds about right then. Need to start accepting that the car thinks it knows best as to when to change gear with how much throttle is applied. Thanks guys.

Could you all tell me at what revs does your DSG gearbox change up (normal gentle driving) from 1 to 2 and then to 3 please. Mine seems to hang a fair bit before changing up. Too long in my opinion.

It just feels at low speed when you are coasting you definitely notice the down change from 3rd to second and the only lerching feeling seems to be from 2nd to 3rd. The rest of the gears seem to be okay. Do you find it hangs a little too long on the revs before changing up? (unless in ACC Eco mode that is)

I don't think it's worth taking it to the dealer / approved garage. I think I'm being picky. It's very smooth under acceleration I'm talking about slower speeds. I think I'm just not used to it as it's my first auto. However it does seems to hang a while before changing up.

Is it just me or does anybody else find the DSG 7 Speed Gearbox on the 2019 2.0 TDI 150's very jerky (at low speeds) and a little slow to react. It seems to really cling on to the gear your in before changing up. Even in semi auto (because it still won't let you change up until its ready to do so anyway) Seems to have a little bit of a lurch also when changing up. Overall I'm a little disappointed with the gearbox be fair. Anybody else know what I mean. It can't just be me, can it??

I used a combo to be honest. One was Turtle Wax Spray shine and the other was a cheapy one.

Thanks @KeteCantek It's Quartz Grey, which IMO shines up beautifully. It's a wash and spray shine for now but will be going to town on it in a few weeks with some layers of wax and sealant, topped of with quick detailer to give it that glossy look.

Gave mine a little jet wash, snow foam with very gentle wax and wash application, jet wash and then a nice quick detailer spray. Next time will be with a heavy layer of wax and sealant.

This may just be me being picky but I have noticed that the stop start system sometimes just does it's own thing. I have had it on quite a lot and have noticed on a few occasions that when I come to a stop (foot off brake with auto hold on) the engine just keeps running. Any ideas?

Probably wouldn't get sued by a pile of cardboard boxes though
