P403 error code TDI vrs
I replaced the solenoid and the problem dissapeared completely until today. The code has changed now and isn't an open circuit but just quotes problem with exhaust gas system.

P403 error code TDI vrs
I've just looked at the egr vacuum solenoid which seemed to make a rattling noise. Bearing in mind the cost and ease of replacing would this be a potential cause.?

P403 error code TDI vrs
Thanks schtum. I'll have a look. How wonderful if it was a dodgy connection but alas I doubt I'll be that lucky. Is there much I can do myself or is this a garage job..? Thanks

P403 error code TDI vrs
Hi There, I was just enjoying a day I've out this morning and then a light appeared on the dash. It was the coil light which placed the car in limp mode. I stopped the engine hoping to get away with it disappearing but it returned. After the 3rd switch off I continued driving and now I have that coil light and EML light. I placed a basic code reader on which says p403 exhaust recirc issues. Does anybody have any ideas. Please many thanks..

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
Thanks for all your help I'm a bit nervous about the injectors pulling out as I don't have the tool or is it just replacing the outer seals...? The glossy pipe just sits next to the chrome metallic fuel pipe as it decends between 2 of the manifold inlets

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
I've just had a look this morning and the only other issue I can see is there are 2 pipes one a glossy rubber roughly 10mm and a silver pipe which I assume is fuel. Could I ask if.you can just undo these..? I assume they are high pressure ones..?

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
Well I'm going for it sometime this week.. I had a quick look yesterday the only bits that I'm concerned about is if a pullout an injector and the 3rd nut on the egr valve that sits around the back. If I'm carefull I'm assuming the injectors won't get pulledmout and in relation to the egr valve can I leave that in place. Not sure how to tackle that bit. Any help would be much appreciated...

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
Sorry just one other thing. I've watched a couple of you tube vids. It looks like some of the injectors may pull out too. Are they easy just to push back in..? I'm feeling brave and so may do the job myself that was all Many Thanks for your help.

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
Can I just ask having never removed an 'upside down' oil filter I'm assuming other than a bit of residual oil gravity has sent it all back down the sump..?

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
Hi Shane, Have you got any tips or a lost of what I need to look for as I'm going to attempt myself. I did hear the injectors need to be removed which are easy to damage not sure how true that is. I'm going to get an ebay manifold and a genuine sensor. Any advice would be appreciated..

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
Crikey that's good at only 20 mins.. How do you manage that. My eml came back on today so habing replaced only the solenoid I now need to decide on whether to by a new manifold or just the sensor as I note you can now by genuine inlet flap angle sensors. Are the injectors hard to remove...?

P2015 Intake Manifold Problem 2.0 TSI
I bought a project tdi vrs with manifold issues. Like yourself I bought component pattern parts. They system is slightly different. However what I did was get a jum lead and disconnect both battery terminals. I then connected the positive and negative bat leads with the jump cable. I'm no expert but I wanted to be double sure I drained any capacitors/memory. I'd forgot about it and ended up doing this over night. I reconnected the battery in the morning. Another thing to note is that TPS sell the sensor and the vacuum solenoid now which would give you a bit of piece of mind. On my diesel coincidentally I had an auxillary pump code as well which I hadn't noticed stupidly as blinkered on the inlet manifold. I suspect its a calibration thing which may just need an unplug and plug at the right time..? Again I'm no expert but in my diesel it worked. Did you remove the manifold yourself..? Is it hard..?

Remote window closing
Hi There very simple in the end yes byte 3 and toggle 5. All sorted windows going up and down. Thanks Maz
-
Remote window closing
Aha that was what I was after on the how to guides posted around they show the bytes as black squares across the scree at three top. The version I have has a up and down toggle shown in your photo. That was what I was after. Ill familiarise myself with the newer layout and adjust as you have suggested. Will let you know how I get on. But yes the red circles explains how you get to the bytes and then tick untick. That's what I was after. Brilliant thankyou

Remote window closing
Hi Langers, Thanks for your help. I will have a look at this. Is it true to say that all vrs level octys will have the facility to remotely operate windows.? Or as mine has next to no options no dot matrix for example that the option just isnt there..? How do you get to the bcm section.? Is that the button 09 and then click the black box 03 and the bit is the toggle that you tick..? Is this element risky.? Or fairly safe...? Again thanks for your help in this I've no idea how you have learnt how to this stuff. Thanks Again Maz

Remote window closing
Oh OK thanks. I will get to it in the morning

Remote window closing
Thanks Langers, I'll try and work it out tomorrow and let you know. Can you do any real damage doing this. Only I expected to drop into 09 and then flick a toggle and get the windows on the remote..? Is there a chance my car doesn't have that facility regardless of vcds..?

Remote window closing
Phil would you know if all octavias regardless of dot matrix screen or not should have the remote. Closing option..? Thanks Maz
-
Remote window closing
Thanks Phil I had a brief look in there but only saw 2 lines of info after pressing the long code button. Mine doesn't have the dot. matrix screen. Its maybe that it doesnt have the faciloty as it is a basic vrs model with no options on it. Thanks Maz

Remote window closing
Hi All, Sorry if this is just a repeat of a well warn subject. I have a an octavia vrs and I would have thought that the windows would close when press and holding the remote. That said it doesn't have the multidot display and therefore assume no convenience pack. I note when I hold and turn the key in the drivers door the windows go up and down when turning left or right. I have just got vcds but it after 3 attempts cannot connect to no. 46 convenience pack. So just wondered is. It possible or is this car just not equipment with the option to remotely close/open windows..? Your help would be appreciated.

2.0 tdi 170 actuator on inlet manifold
Hi There, I have fitted an aftermarket inlet manifold and actuator. Previously the 2 could only be purchased together but you can now buy seperately. Having replaced both the eml has returned. I believe the garage only erased the fault code and plugged in the new. Does anybody know if it needs to be coded in..? I was told that the new actuator may be faulty. I have bought another and plugged this in without connecting and this seemed to work OK but the eml remained on. Out of Interest where is the sensor for the inlet manifold is it all built into the actuator motor unit itself....? Many thanks in advance.
