  1. Ok thanks for the response. Is all the wiring 12V? i.e. no 5V LEDs?

Sorry, one thing I forgot, definitely a manual gearbox.

I have a Petrol 1.4 L&K and I love the engine: quiet and enough power. My car is used regularly in the Alps so I much prefer petrol to diesel ... had a really bad experience with diesel freezing a few years ago. Snow tyres and 4x4 and relatively speaking low torque, never had a problem in snow and ice and the Offroad button works really well. After driving maybe 20000 km in the Alps, I have never had to put snow chains on, A leaking sunroof ... I never use the sunroof so if (when) it starts to leak I will 'helicopter tape' over it and leave it as a rather nice 'moon roof' (which I like). Mountain bikes: I put my full suspension 27.5 in when I travel, but always take both wheels off. In the mountains; heated windscreen and washer jets: tick; excellent heated seats: tick; starts immediately, even at -25: tick; Offroad button when it gets really tricky: tick. Bottom line at the bottom: go for the L&K and be prepared to helicopter tape over the sunroof :-)
  4. I apologise for my ignorance ... please excuse me. I had some minor damage to my driver's door repaired that required the removal of the door card. But now I have noticed that the LED for the alarm is not working. I have removed the door card and checked the connector to the LED ... all OK. I have also checked the alarm ... working OK (or at least the motion sensor is). I quite like the LED as a discouragement to potential thieves, especially when I have my rather expensive mountain bike in the back of Betty the Yeti, so I would like to fix the light. So my question: is all the electrical system on the Skoda Yeti 12V such that I can just buy a cheap 12V car LED light and connect it to see if the LED has failed? Although my car is a UK car, I live in Italy (where the bodywork was done) and not many vehicles here have the alarm fitted, so the technician that repaired the car may not have disconnected the LED light when the door card was removed, thus potentially damaging the LED. Also, taking it back to the repair shop is a bit of a pain, especially with COVID restrictions. Thanks for any assistance.
  5. Took them a very long time to respond to my emails. Also, check your bulk or spam mailbox, as initially my email client treated all emails from Superskoda as spam. Good luck.
