Howdy 2015 Fabia Hatch TSI SE, about 76k on it. Had offside wishbone replaced in the aftermath of September's MOT. Over winter a nasty screech develops and worsens when going over a speed bump. Mechanic replaced bushes a month or so ago, all seemed good and the noise went away for a little while afterwards. But... the noise came back, but only when it's cold outside. Once either the weather or the car (or both) has warmed up the noise gets quieter and eventually disappears. Mechanic has most-recently replaced nearside wishbone through lack of finding any other possible culprits, but that doesn't seem to have moved us forward. Recorded this video the other morning when it was about 6 degrees outside. You can hear the noise most clearly as I start my journey, then how it's not quite so pronounced on longer speed tables, and how it's also much less if only one of the front wheels goes over the bump and one stays flat at the side. And, by the end of the journey (which was about 10-15 minutes in reality) the noise is quieter than it was at the start. My mechanic (who is a top dog and widely loved by everyone around here) is stumped... Any Brisokdians any thoughts on what we might be dealing with? Would very much appreciate your counsel if so. Thanks! (Hopefully YouTube video will embed below...)
