  1. I put a rear only H&R bar on my AWD Superb estate (UK) / wagon (Oz). The part number is probably not the same as for your FWD but as newbie69 said it was the same part # as the Golf or Passat AWD so I'd imagine it would be the same for the FWD models. One of the benefits of the MQB system I guess. I've also put stiffer Eibach spring on mine which made a huge difference to the wallow and float. It you're used to sports cars it may suit your tastes. It's a bit lower too but not sure how that would affect towing...? I got a mate and a local shop to fit the springs and bar. It all transformed the car and I've done about 3000 country k's since and it's a great GT car now.
  2. I'd check on that. The AWD versions have a diff and different rear axle. The various sites always asked exactly what model I had so there may be a difference.
  3. It's the same number for the Golf and Passat item - 33851HA5 Talk to Kev at Kam Racing. [email protected] Good guys, very helpful.
  4. Oh, and another mod I made - that I forgot to mention - was adjusting my front wheel alignment to 0.5mm of toe out as advised by my mechanic mate. It made a very noticeable difference to steering response and reduction in understeer. Is still stable and smooth at highway speeds. And it's probably the best bang for buck as only cost me $90 for a tyre fitters to adjust. Anyone else done this?
  5. Yeah, there's not much difference where the rarb is with a single pipe coming back from the front. The Superb goes on for a lot longer than the Golf after the rear wheels and it has separate mufflers each side arranged longitudinally but the Golf looks like it has a single lateral muffler with twin exhausts. Dunno if it makes any difference to this job tho.
  6. I bought mine from Kam Racing in the UK. Price was 163 pounds and 74 pounds for shipping (it's really heavy). Item # 33851HA5-K. Shipped on 18th and delivered on 29th. About 3 days of that was Oz Customs. I'd previously ordered from a German e-bay supplier for a slightly cheaper price but they cancelled as they said they couldn't ship it here with the virus. I've ordered from SuperSkoda and they're usually Ok but that was before the virus. Good luck. You won't regret it.
  7. There were no clearance problems when we fitted mine. The exhaust is different on the Superb to the Golf so clearance issues may be different to the videos. Getting the old one off took a little fiddling and minor swearing but didn't have to loosen anything on the exhaust. The new one went in easily. Left suspension arm had to be raised a bit - like on all the videos - but no biggie.
  8. Hi Chris I've just fitted H&R rear ARB to my Superb Sportline Wagon which I had previously fitted with Eibach sports springs. Handling is now neutral - little body roll, and neither under nor over steer, and seems better balanced ride / handling than with just the springs. I chose H&R from a online racing store in the UK as the Eibach distributor in Oz only sold front and rear and wouldn't break them up to sell just the rear one. I felt more comfortable getting a German TUV approved bar that I was confident would fit. The one I got - 33851HA5 - is the same one that fits the Golf R according to this and other forums as well as the H&R website. Had a mechanic mate fit it in my driveway. Took a bit over an hour. So I'm happy with my choice. Dunno about towing implications tho.
