  1. Problems solved so far.
  2. Thank you everyone for your responses and interest.
  3. Should mention she's a 2014 model and has done only 27000 genuine miles.
  4. Car currently at the Dealers having ABS sensor replaced. So in the last two weeks I've had the Throttle control valve cleaned and ABS sensor replaced. Pray to goodness my problems are sorted.
  5. Many thanks for this info.
  6. Breezy-pete but would that make the other 4 lights come on too.
  7. Not sure but it cost £250
  8. I have a 2014 Superb Estate automatic diesel. The dashboard frequently shows lots of warning lights i.e.ABS, traction, bending light? Tyre pressure but not engine management light. I can drive no lights showing then they come on, or come on at start up with lots of pings. Drive for a while and they go out but sometimes stay on. Any suggestions what problem is. Been happening for a while. New dealer fitted battery 2 years ago. Dealer serviced.
  9. Jafo .yes I have start stop but don't use it. Had a Dealer supplied and fitted new battery back in April (£250). Not sure of type but it was the best. As of the last two days problem not happened. I've cancelled appointment for diagnostic check which was going to cost £90. Will just wait and see what happens. Reading other similar threads I get the impression Skoda don't know what causes problem. Thank you for responding.
  10. Thanks for responding Simon. Looks like others having same problem. Called at Dealers and have a diagnostic booked for Monday. Daft thing is it hasn't happened since I called in at Dealers and nobody touched the car. Duh.
  11. Think I'll take the car into Dealer on Monday. Might it be a case of rebooting the system? Can the system be rebooted? Does the system have its own battery?
  12. Ken - been out every day for the last two weeks. Three of which were 150 mile round trips. The first time it happened the car had stood three days. The new battery back in April was bought (£249) and fitted at the Skoda main dealer
  13. Recently when I start my diesel automatic I get loads of warning light, i.e. Power steering, tyre pressure and a lot more. They eventually go out one by one. Now Im getting warning messages on the screen in the middle. Would welcome your comments and advice. P.s. I bought and had a new battery fitted back in April.
  14. Had the brake fluid changed last year. Its a 2 ltr TA diesel automatic. Thanks for responding.
  15. I have a 2014 DSG estate. Its done about 23000 (not a typing error only 23000). Its due for a minor service which I have carried out by the dealer on a service plan. I feel sure when I phone for appointment they are going to suggest a change of fluid in DSG box. It hasn't ever been changed. Because the car is 7 years old should I have it done. I would welcome your comments.
  16. The battery was original, 2014, came with the car. Am happy to have paid almost £250 for a made in Germany Varta AGM. I now have peace of mind.
  17. Many thanks langers2k. I think those additional wires might be for towing electrics which I had fitted when I bought the car new.
  18. Sorted I am a fool.
  19. The more I look at these photos the more I think I've made a fool of myself before I returned to the Dealer. Thank the Lord for this forum. Thanks for looking.
  20. It appears to me that the wiring to the positive terminal is blue wires. Whereas the wiring to the negative terminal at the rear is red wires. The warning flap now covers the positive terminal whereas on the old battery this flap was at the rear covering the negative terminal. I would welcome your comments.
  21. Why would a Skoda Dealer connect my new battery with the blue wires to the positive terminal and red wires to the negative terminal. I am not colour blind and this was done yesterday. I am returning to the Dealership this morning.
  22. I am puzzled. Just been out to look at the battery. I always thought that red wires were attached to the terminal next to the + sign and blue wires to the - sign. But my battery is wired up with the blue wires next to the + sign. They've even moved the flappy cover from its old location to cover the blue wires. Fair enough. Can anyone please offer advice.
  23. Update: new battery fitted. Local garage quoted over £250 and could not say when would be available. He suggested I go to Dealer so I did. Had to pay for battery to place the order. There is a shortage of batteries. On back order with factory in Ckeck Republic. Had to wait over 2 weeks. Wonder if the car will start after three days. For £249 I hope so.
  24. Although my car has Start/stop system I don't use it. I press the button to disengage as soon as I start the car. Hate it.
  25. Thanks everyone. My car does have start/stop system. I shall ask my local garage if he has VCDS software.
