Help finding a car VR54 RLS
SkodaMart replied to SkodaMart's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
I’m not on FB, nevermind. I was more surprised it’s still going tbh. Would have been nice to see it again. (I sound like Bilbo Baggins with the ring lol) -
Do I have one of the last few with these miles

What you have there is a great car that’s value exceeds its price tag. Sadly they aren’t that desirable, even when new but I have yet to find a better combination of practicality, performance and pleasant ownership experience. Enjoy you car and just be happy that there’s nothing better for the money or even 2x the money these days.- 1 reply

Morning all, I haven’t posted here in years but it has come to my attention that my MK1 vRS is still alive and in use! I have a lot of fond memories of it, it was the only decent car that I bought new, also it was the car that I brought my son home from hospital in when he was born, we had many happy family holidays in it. I am not looking to buy it back (I don’t think) but it really would be great to see it again, and meet the new owner. my heart skipped a beat when is discovered it was still about and on a private plate. it’s a Silver MK1 Octavia vRS The original registration was MF05 CBX - it is now on VR54 RLS. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mart.

The aircon compressor on my 2008 1.8 TSi L & K has failed. From what I have read, you need to remove the front of the car to access it, however my local garage has suggested that the bolts should be accessible without needing to do this. Whats the verdict? front off or swap it out without needing to do that? Can anyone give me anymore information as they don't make a Haynes manual for the petrol powered versions. Thanks.

If I indicate, as the indicator stalk returns to the off position the hazard warning switch continues to repeat rapidly, without the lights flashing. I have replaced the hazard warning switch. It was fine for a short while but the problem has now returned does anybody have any suggestions? I suspect that the 2nd switch was faulty however that seems unlikely. Thanks.

Replace the temp sensor and Hazard warning switch and everything is great again. Thanks for the help!
