What you have there is a great car that’s value exceeds its price tag. Sadly they aren’t that desirable, even when new but I have yet to find a better combination of practicality, performance and pleasant ownership experience. Enjoy you car and just be happy that there’s nothing better for the money or even 2x the money these days.

Morning all, I haven’t posted here in years but it has come to my attention that my MK1 vRS is still alive and in use! I have a lot of fond memories of it, it was the only decent car that I bought new, also it was the car that I brought my son home from hospital in when he was born, we had many happy family holidays in it. I am not looking to buy it back (I don’t think) but it really would be great to see it again, and meet the new owner. my heart skipped a beat when is discovered it was still about and on a private plate. it’s a Silver MK1 Octavia vRS The original registration was MF05 CBX - it is now on VR54 RLS.
