  1. Hi all, I had an advisory on my MOT, something about one of the rear calipers not working properly. there is a definite issue with it so I’m looking to get it replaced. Pads and discs are new. Questions are, Should I replace both? Where is the best place to buy from? Can I use standard, non green Fabia ones? Thanks in advance, Rob
  2. Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look now Im home from work. Just wish this rain would stopl lol Cheers, Rob
  3. Hi all, Ive got a bit of a problem with my 2006 BLT engined VRS I was driving yesterday in the middle of a heavy downpour and the car seemed to go into limp mode. Higher revs gave no more power at all and really struggled on hills. It seemed to have a limit on the power output if that make sense. After a while nearer home it seemed to get a bit better and seemed to have a bit more power but felt like there was no turbo attached any more, but the power slowly rose with the revs. Its the same today, driveable but like an old, non turbo diesel. It also takes a while to start compared to usual where it starts instantly every time. IveIve attached a cheap code reader today which is showing the following, 0100 0102 0243 0489 0684 Its just had a service, cambelt and MOT and passed ok. My garage isnt open over the weekend so just wondering if anyone had an idea of what it may be? And hopefully its all related to a single sensor or similar! Thanks in advance, Rob.
  4. Wel, Ive fixed it, and this may help others as i do see a few threads with a similar problem. In the centre of the boot, under the removable trim there is a curved bit of metal centrally fixed with a pin type thing. This rotates via a solenoid (I think) when you try to open the boot and it moves the orange plastic covered bit in the tail-lift, the bit that you manually move if you have to lean into the boot via the pushed forward rear seats if your boot doesnt open. after 8 months I noticed that the black metal part in the book seemed bent up making it slide off of the orange part when rotating so a couple of gentle taps down with a hammer and I now have a fully operational boot again! Just thought I'd let you all know incase any of you have a similar problem and cannot locate the reason still. Cheers, Rob
  5. Hi all, Ive searched for an answer but cannot find anyone with the same issue as Im having. The boot on my VRS pops open when using the remote or the boot button but seems to be catching on something and will not open more than an inch. It gives a solid clunk when I put my fingers under the lip of the boot and try to open it more. Ive had a look inside while operating the remote and there seems to be a lever that spins around, pushing on another part. To me it seems mechanical, not electrical like all of the other threads I have read. Has anyone got any ideas what it may be, and how I could fixe it? Thanks in advance, Rob
