I bought a half metre cable and just rolled up the slack behind the mirror, i don't even notice it
-
Mine does the same, also most of the cars I've had previously have done something similar

I'm using a SanDisk 64gb stick with no issues, I do find that SanDisk works better in other media devices, I have one in my phone also, have tried some other makes over the years with compatability issues

Personal preference, I don't have one and it doesn't bother me, I use gtechniq g1 on my glass and the water just streams off, use the repellant for making the glass easier to clean but added benefit is water literally just slides off

Decided to get the genuine Skoda boot mat and have fitted the rubber mats out of my last car for the moment until I see a set of genuines for a reasonable price

After owning my se l for a week now I love it but want to get some protection, I thought I remembered reading that the mk3 floor mats fit the mk4 but didn't want to order them without checking, apart from the dealer wanting comical prices for the oe sets. Has anyone tried mats from the previous generation?

Had a VRS a couple of years back but changed it for a Merc E class, put a deposit on a new Octavia SEL at the weekend which should arrive in the next week or so, looking forward to getting back into a Skoda

These look great, my door mirrors fold in automatically but heard they hit the wind deflectors? Have you had any problems with this?
I never had any issues, I no longer have the car though and have a Honda Civic which people also said that the mirrors would also touch, it doesn't on my new car either

The mpg totally depends on your right foot I think.
The other day I got over 44mpg on a 15 mile journey.
IMO Black cars look the best, however only when clean.
I'd have liked a black one but I don't have time to be cleaning and polishing it, so I went for a colour that's quite forgiving.
My other car is black, with a purple tint if the sun catches it right.. looks amazing, but for only about 3 days a year.
Your right my old Passat was great when clean, 2 hours later it looked a mess though lol

I'm doing 12,000 miles per year and averaged 40mpg from new (now 23,700 miles showing) or about 440 miles per 50 litres.
That's not as bad as I thought, when I've got some time off I might have to take one for a test drive

Thanks. Wife has told me never to sell it because I get bored quite easily. Keep her sweet by letting her drive it to work at least once a week. It reminds me how much fun she had when I fire it up and see what her average MPG was.
I swap my cars quite often, would be tempted to get a petrol vrs next, can't decide though to remap this one and be happy or do petrol, I do around 15k a year

Everything is black on my Vrs which is nice until it rains. Had to give it a quick clean this morning.........again.
That's why I specifically didn't get another black car, I'm OCD when its comes to car cleaning and black is so hard to keep constantly clean, so far this one is being cleaned around every week

Just need some black mirror caps now and it will look like a proper Vrs.
Have been looking at mirror caps, not sure if I like the look of them, think the monte carlo round badges may be my next investment

Thank you, I have been looking at replacement wheel but will not be for a while now as I have just put brand new Michelin ps4s all round

Apart from a slightly slow infotainment system mine has been golden so far, 3k miles in and 2 months layer, it is booked in this Friday for 3 software updates, whether this will help I don't know, as far as I'm concerned better than the Jag and Merc I owned previously
