  1. I have also had issues with the steering wheel, I would be driving along and the instrument panel would just randomly start changing from the speed to anything it chose. They did replace this TWICE under warranty and said it was the rocker switches on the steering wheel. I have also had to have all the 'chrome' (plastic coated) trims replaced due to them all going milky colour and stained, at first they refused saying it was TRF (traffic film remover) that the hand-wash firms use and that was after about 15 months. I had only had the car washed at one of these twice. They finally relented after I did my home work and told them that Skoda Europe had recalled various models in Europe for this reason and I also got Money supermarket's Resolver team involved. Let's hope that realise we are all aware of the issues and they do a recall and then give back what we have had to spend as part of the 'Goodwill Gesture'. I for one will be watching this space.
  2. UPDATE:- The car has been Marshall Skoda Northampton and they have said the door lock is faulty. They have spoken with Skoda and they have said they will pay 70% as a goodwill gesture and it will cost us about £69. But the interesting thing is they said that Skoda do not have any locks in their warehouse, and I will have to wait for stock to arrive and they don't know when that will be. Luckily I can use my daughters cars as my insurance would be invalid if the car was stolen whilst I was out, with it not being secured properly. Would Skoda pay for a new vehicle? As there is obviously an issue with the locks.

  4. I have mine booked in tomorrow and 2ltr 4x4 DSG 2018 and the warranty ran out on March 15th, it sounds as if there is an issue. I will let you know how I get on. I already asked about the warranty and that the car has only done approx 26000 miles, so as far as I am concerned this is not fit for purpose. Thanks Klamath for steering me to this message board.
  5. I have just tried to lock my car using the manual lock and key only to find that the lock if fixed solid, it might be worth just trying yours just incase of emergencies.
  6. Hi I was just wondering if anyone else has or is experiencing this issue. When locking my car it locks only to unlock the passenger door only in seconds. To look at the car you think it is locked as the wing mirrors are folded in, but if I try the passenger door it opens, sometimes it sets the alarm off and other times it doesn't. My car is a 3018 and has just bt 25 days gone out of warranty, but before I contact Skoda I need to know if the is an issue on the vehicle or the VW range as I have been told.
