  1. Call from the dealer, collection confirmed for Monday and nothing missing due to the chip shortage! 😄
  2. Apparently mine has arrived in Grimsby and they are just waiting for transportation for it down to Bristol now…
  3. Guessing they will all be travelling together then!
  4. Had a surprise call from the dealer today to say the car was now on route and he would like to hand it over before he goes on leave ideally and as long as all goes to plan would I like to collect it a week on Saturday? Either that it would need to be the 30th, I did question the fact it was supposed to be the 1st Sept (and the new plate) but he said that it would be registered in August no matter when I collected it…. im not massively fussed if I’m honest and more excited about getting the new bear sooner, I am one of those sad ones with a private plate and as I’m expecting to keep it the full four years of the pcp as long as it has the guaranteed future value ready for the next one that’s what matters!
  5. I can’t see the picture but I have the Canton in my car now and it’s great, my new one is supposed to have it as well and it had better be there when I eventually get it as it’s a deal breaker for me! I haven’t had anything through from my dealer telling me there is any change to the spec…
  6. I had a message yesterday to say mine was in the factory being built “as we speak” also said that they are looking a September 1st handover so that I get the new registration if that was ok with me….. (It was lol)
  7. Well, I had an update today. Seems my week 25 build week has now slipped to an estimated week 28 but could change again. Not terrible in the great scheme of things but frustrating nonetheless!
  8. It looks great, looks like the same combo I’ve gone for, velvet red L&K, black or beige interior?
  9. I understand that, my comment was that it’s nuts about the used car prices. I could probably get more selling it privately before handover and I may well do that but there is no benefit to me in making the final payment. I change my cars at least every four years, sooner if the numbers add up. Ideally I want to be in warranty and without MOTs as much as possible. This is the whole reason I do PCP. As regards the amount I owe, It obviously goes up as I’ve gone for a better spec but it is around 7k less than I owed when getting the edition. I always treat PCP as a glorified lease in truth. I need a reliable car for work and my hobby so I’m a long way off trying to penny pinch luckily. I also think that given the fact that ICE is being phased out and new ones will become scarce in the future the future value will remain strong, and if not I have the guaranteed future vale to fall back on. IF the L&K being that awesome and the numbers add up I would consider keeping it after the deal ends if electric doesn’t work for me.
  10. Had a nice update from my dealer this week saying we have a build week of 25 on the new bear, potentially sooner (my sister in law ordered hers a week before me and already has hers! No idea how that happened and nor does the dealer). Expected delivery mid August, happy with that as only ordered it at the start of March and still have my edition spec Kodiaq which is only 2 1/2 years old. that’s on an L&K with tow bar 2.0 diesel 200bhp, only upgrading early due to the insane used car values. Quite a bit better off a month for a higher spec car, how does that even happen??
  11. Hi all, it’s been a while but I’ve now had my Kodiaq for two and a half years and love it. Earlier in February my dealership contacted me to say due to the equity In my car there was a mega deal to be done. Bearing in mind it’s on a 4 year pcp I wasn’t in a rush but long story short I’m now upgrading my edition for an L&K and going to pay a fair bit less for it. Apparently they have some guaranteed build slots and it should be here in September (but I won’t hold my breath)!
