  1. Hey guys, it sounds like this is the solution to the flickering speedo and tachometer lights on my octavia 2010. However, I don't understand how an LED fails so that it flickers on and off? I thought LEDS just died totally. Why would they flicker intermittently? And why did it happen to all of them suddenly? Mine just started flickering recently - the speedo, the tachometer, the fuel and temp gauges. It makes me think some other component that powers the LEDs is the real culprit. Am I wrong? Should I just get new LEDs and solder them in?
  2. Question: How do you know which LEDS are failing? My speedo and tachometer are both intermittent. Occasionally the fuel gauge and temperature gauge are also going off. I don't understand why they would be flashing on and off - my understanding of LEDS is that they are either working or dead - but not intermittent. A dead LED would not go on & off. I am thinking the problem is a bad connection or earth?? Can anyone please explain why this is happening?
