  1. Hello, everyone! I am currently using a late-2007 (2008 from VIN) Skoda Octavia mk. 2 and I would like to replace my current instrument cluster with the one from the facelift. I have seen that there might be 2 options: 1. Replace the current ASR MK70 ABS pump with an ESP MK60EC1 pump. 2. Only replace the ABS pump controller with a 1K0907379AF controller. My ABS controller unit is this one: Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 1K0-907-379-MK70.lbl Part No: 1K0 907 379 P Component: ASR FRONT MK70 0105 Coding: 0017025 Shop #: WSC 73430 790 00000 VCID: 3F8DF6FB6E7DB5B79E-806A No fault code found. I will have to take down the engine soon from my car and I would like to prepare for the IC replacement too. Which option is the better one? I would like to avoid replacing brake pipes, because I'm a bit on a budget and the labor is already pretty expensive for the engine. I have seen that information on this subject is a bit scarce, some people say that upgrading from MK70 does not require replacing brake pipes, while others say that they are different. Could someone please shed some light on this subject? Also, could you please tell me what parts I would need for this? As far as I know, if I want to upgrade to ESP I would need the new ABS pump (obviously), both holding brackets for the ABS pump, the 47-pin plug and brake liquid. I have to mention that I want to install the white MFA (I've heard some people call it maxi-dot), not the entry level CB. Thanks a lot! I hope I have given you all the necessary details. If I missed anything, let me know and I'll reply as soon as possible.
  2. @john999boy - Thanks for such a quick reply. I am concerned about the unit having CP on because this guy sells second hand cars and he doesn't know anything about the car. Is there any way to check if the MIB 2 unit has CP on or off? I forgot to mention, it has a Seat part number, but the boot logo is for VW. Got the P/N: 7N5 035 680F Hardware Version: H31 Software 0478
  3. Hello everyone. I have a friend who is selling a VW Passat B6 (3C) and can give me his MIB2 for a decent price. I would like to know if there is any way to check if Component Protection is on or off. Also, what else should I get (apart from the CarPlay USB and Quadlock adapter) in order to make it work fine (without battery drain)? L.E.: forgot to mention, my car is a ‘07 mk. 2 Octavia. thanks!
  4. Hello guys, I own an '07 Skoda Octavia mk.2 and I would like to replace my RNS 510 with a MIB2 navigation system, but I still have some questions. 1. Apart from the quadlock adapter and the USB will I need anything else? 2. I have a mk.2 facelift multifunction steering wheel, will it work with the MIB2? I know that I won't have any info on the instrument cluster. 3. Is the wire long enough to place the USB port in the armrest? 4. Does it have RDS and all the radio stuff you need? I live in Romania and I still use the radio a lot. 5. Kind of a noob question, but I want to be sure. Will there be any issues if I get a VW MIB 2 (with red buttons) apart from the color? Thanks! P.S. : Sorry for my english.
  5. Hello guys, I have a late ‘07 (nov. 2007) Skoda Octavia mk. 2 and I have bought a multifunction steering wheel from a facelift O2, installed it, everything works except for board computer commands. If I press the right scroll it resets the trip, but I can’t go up or down. Is there any part I should change? I have maxi-DOT cluster for pre-fl Octavia mk. 2 Sorry for my English, I hope you understand what I’m saying.
