  1. Quoting my post to update : I emailed Skoda CS a day or so ago asking about the cambelt change interval as a few other threads on here have said it is now in line with the EU dealers. I got a phone call in repsonse yesterday and the chap confirmed for my car its 15 YEARS or 180,000 miles. He added it's wise to get it checked yearly. I'm now on 99,000 miles so just over half way there
  2. Cheers Had to use Firefox to get it to open.
  3. Hi Can someone post a working link for the Workshop manual please. The links from the two posts above do not seem to be working. Thanks
  4. I took the door card off. it's not a difficult job and I think there is a post on here somewhere that shows it (I found it after I had done mine!) The white plastic piece is only removable whith the door card off IMHO.
  5. Skoda Fabia 2016 Drivers door handle broke last week, Soda quoted £125 to replace! Sourced one thanks to post from Psul above for £32 inc P+P Arrived after 3 days. Fitted it in under 1 hrs, fairly easy TBHO. So, pleased with the outcome but not impressed with the plastic door handle and the (not surprising) rip off quote from the dealer.
  6. Thanks to all who have replied. I'm not changing the Cambelt, giving it a few more miles yet!
  7. What email address did you contact for VW Rest of the World? Not sure why the UK thinks it's any different from Europe in how the Cambelt wear out! My previous car were Cambelt changes at around 90,000 IIRC.
  8. Hi My Fabia 2016 Tsi 1.2 has done 58000 miles so according to Skoda (>) it is due a Cambelt change. They quote £500 for Cambet and tensioners I asked for a quote from an Independant and they rang back saying they could not do my vehicle as it needs a Special Skoda tool-(cost £2K) and to be careful with any quotes I get from Independents. So before I go to get other quotes:- 1. Anyone got any good Independants in Cambridgeshire I can quote? 2. True about this special tool? Thanks
  9. Hi So according to the nexxtbase expert Tiffany on here "You can Hardwire onto a permanently live fuse with the 412GW on the latest firmware". I am thinking of doing this with my Fabia III Apart from randomly picking an empty fuse socket to see if it is permanently live, does anyone know which empty ones are permanently live? Thanks
