  1. Thanks @toot- for some reason I imagined that the antifreeze would also deal with ice on the screen. Obviously not. R-
  2. All I can tell you is that it was a 7.5A fuse. In the online manual it says it’s fuse #35, but that position was empty 🥴! R-
  3. Thanks Kenny, that does seem to come highly rated. It seems our local Screwfix sell it. R-
  4. I have recently blown a fuse on my Skoda by trying to operate the windscreen washers whilst the contents - and the pump no doubt - were frozen up. Lesson learned - that has been sorted out now and I wondered if anyone has a suggestion for a good quality screen wash - with antifreeze protection - that I can use? There are so many online. The garage lady said I should ideally get one that protects down to -10℃ and if it looks to be getting close to that temperature then dilute slightly less. Thanks, R-
  5. Checked all the fuses as mentioned in manual and the various posts on here - could find nothing wrong. Finally got the car to the garage after the break and it turns out it was a fuse and not the pump. The manual says is it fuse 35 - IT IS NOT! Anyway all safe and legal again. Thanks for your help chaps. R-
  6. Well, I’ve checked all the fuses mentioned to date without success. I can see no breaks or smears and they test out ok on a multi-meter. I think we’ve burnt out the pump. R-
  7. The headlight wash works it’s the front and back windscreen wash that has packed up. Thanks for the link to the manual, I can look up the correct fuse. R-
  8. That narrows it down nicely - thank you. R-
  9. Is there a separate pump for the headlight spray? These work but there is nothing on the front or back screens. R-
  10. Thanks @varooom. That’s two things to try. No, did not update maps for 2 years, 😌 R-
  11. Thanks, but it’s never looked like that before. The blue area at the top creating the impression we are near the sea is new and a fault. I will try the 2D view though I am not hopeful. R-
  12. On a long trip on Friday in horrendous rain the navigation screen developed a partial loss of the viewable area, as per the attached image. All other functions are normal and a power cycle does not reset it. Am I looking at a big bill for replacement- or is there something else I could try? Thanks, R-
  13. Well, my Scala is most definitely not supported. R-
  14. If you are worried about the electrics getting messed up you can, in addition to the set and immediately cancel option already mentioned, try just a light touch on the indicator stalk so the arm does not actually "set" itself. I know you probably dont want to hear this but as an ex driving instructor and police traffic bobby [albeit about 200 years ago] I would prefer to keep the triple flash as the single flash could so easily be missed. However, I completley appreciate it is your choice. I hope you figure it out. R-
  15. Wow - thanks for these video clips. I like the "plucky" Dundee quote. Good on them. Now, if only we can some English councils to watch it and act - and stop just talking about what to do. R-
  16. Thank all for the response. A rubbish app is one thing - but no Customer Support? R-
  17. Thank you. I had not realised it was so poor. I have some paper records and will I think continue with that route. Thank you for replying. R-
  18. On Friday I tried to load this onto my iPad using a previously used log-in and [so I thought] password. Lo and behold [ just to stay festive for a moment 🙂] I got the password wrong, couldn't rember what it was, so requested a reset. I get the e-mail but seem to be unable to get any further and get either a 400 error or auth token error. I have tried Skoda support but am still waiting for a response. Any ideas? Is it worth the hassle if I get paper service receipts and printouts? Anyway - have a great Christmas. R-
  19. I had someting similar a little while ago, although not the bump in the line a the bottom. Try using the thumb wheel just to the right of the centre of the steering wheel [not sure what it is really called]. Rotate it for different screens. I had inadvertently moved that wheel. R-
  20. Oh dear - that sounds as though you have had someting awful happen to you. I have only had my Fabia Mk3 since Sept. and I have to say that I am discovering more and more to like about it every time I drive it. Yes, there are a lot of toys on there, some of which I most likely will never use or refer to, but I do like the fact that they are there for the day when I do get to grips with it all. So [sorry] here's a surprising thing. I just had to sell my Range Rover which was 14 years old and falling to bits. I'm retired now so couldn't afford another [2nd hand] one so after much research I ended up with the Fabia. It took a little while to get used to it and stop driving it like a London bus but I love it - now! I was always under the impression that the RR was complicated but it had nowhere near the faciility of the Fabia Why don't you let us know what is frustrrating you and making your Fabia so hateful? I'm sure someone on here can help. R-
  21. As per your signature Wino - does either CJZD or REZ sound right for engine code? R-
