  1. Probably a long shot, but did you get anywhere with ? I've just had the cat back installed (already had the downpipe on) and I've been given back both the adaptors too πŸ€”πŸ˜…
  2. First mod I did 😁 I think after reading your input on one thread or another. Went with the APR steel one, zero vibrations too so happy days also got a short shift kit on the list ☺️
  3. Hey Fuzzarr, Decided to go a slightly different route, I'm awaiting delivery of a scorpion down pipe with sports cat and keeping the standard 230 "sports exhaust" for now. Also fitting an airtec intercooler, uprated coils, spark plugs, RARB, Turbo Technics elbow, braided brake lines, Eibach pro kit, new B4 Shocks, top mounts, drop links all round and going straight to stage 2 πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚ And probably go to stage 4 (stage 3 depending on the tuning shop) with a hybrid IS38 in the next year. I've upgraded the clutch with an RTS 5 paddle one, new Flywheel and heavy duty slave cylinder thats good for over be 700Nm, I've done 1800 miles on it so very much bedded in and feels pretty close to the original clutch in terms of feel.
  4. As the title says, which ARB kits are people running? Was initially thinking White line kit, but read a lot of people they squeak after a while which would annoy me too no end. H&T kit has the bushings made from a Urethane / Teflon composite that eliminates squeaks which I'm leaving towards, but curious on what others have or would recommend.
  5. Thanks, I've just changed all my badges to black, with an insert on the VI part of the VRS badges to match the wheels for now, been a busy day of small mods πŸ˜‚ rear diffuser, gas struts for the bonnet, dynamic indicators, uprated puddle lights and a few other bits
  6. Cheers gents, only got one side pic so far as it's raining and crap lighting, looks darker in this pic than they really are
  7. As said before, won't to be everyone's taste, but I'm really happy with how they turned out πŸ˜„ Will get better pics after I've done some other bits to the car in the next couple of weeks and it's not ****ing down
  8. I'm waiting to finish work to see their report, just advised it was a major service needed. Pads will need doing shortly, as 4-5mm left. It's a long term rental effectively so not ours but just one of those things, but annoying none the less, especially after forking out just over Β£500 last week due to stone damage making the AC not work.
  9. Is it just the quality of these discs are crap? My wife's kamiq is only 3 years old, 12k and just come back from a major service with the advice of new discs all round, that seems mental. I've just changed discs and pads allround on my 2016 Octavia VRS and that's at just under 70k.
  10. Okay cool, on know the mic quality on the units aren't great, seems to be improved on the 2k models from recent reviews, and I guess I don't really use many of the OEM features, other than having set the VRS button to have the eco mode exhaust sound πŸ˜‚ I'll have a think on what route to go, thanks again for the replies buddy
  11. Thanks for confirming, I'm trying to think what other functionality will be lost then πŸ€” I did get a reply from Teyes finally, but doesn't fill me with confidence πŸ˜‚ its the bigger screen and ability to have whatever apps I want making android auto a little redundant that initially drew me to the Teyes unit. I looked into unlocking with a 3rd party remotely but was advised with my model / firmware it couldn't be done remotely.
  12. Cheers for the reply, android units are new to me, but didn't see the point in paying Β£150 to Skoda to unlock android auto (no cheaper 3rd parties near me) So thought I'd spend a little more for a much bigger screen and functionality. The unit comes with a Canbus ability, so doors being open, steering wheel controls, when using physical buttons for heating etc all shows on the headunit so was unsure if TPMS would work or not.
  13. Maybe a long shot, but anyone running a Teyes CC3 headunit (ideally the newer 2k) that can tell me if the standard OEM tire pressure monitoring system works with it πŸ€”
  14. How are you finding the CC3 ? Do all the original things with with it like steering wheel controls, parking sensors, tire pressure resetting etc? And is the mic aweful? Can't find many posts on here, and looking at getting the CC3 2K Version, figured I'd rather pay extra for a nice bigger screen than Β£150 to unlock android auto in my 2016 VRS. Reviews of the new unit suggest the mic has been improved too.
  15. All good buddy, thought it was optimistic resurrecting this thread 🀣 I'll figure it out 😁 thanks for the reply regardless
  16. I can't wait to smoke some mopeds πŸ˜‚
  17. Damn, now I don't no where to go πŸ˜‚ I'm in Hampshire, I've a Texaco with 97 ron 2 seconds away, Esso and BP with 99 close by, shell a few junctions up the A3 and that's it πŸ€”
  18. Thanks for the link, Guess I'll drive the extra few miles to the next nearest being Shell, as momentum is too far πŸ˜‚
  19. The cheaper shop is quoted on a Sach clutch kit, the other an RTS. Both are their own custom maps with rolling road, the cheaper quote is slightly cheaper labour, but it's an hour or so away compared to the other being 20mins down the road. The cars not long been serviced with new plugs, filter, fluids and has only ever run on Super since 17k miles (now just under 70k) (esso mainly, unsure if ethanol free is best? But it's closest to me)
  20. That's a fair amount of miles on the original πŸ˜‚ it just seemed both tuning shops were reluctant to do it on OEM clutch, and seen a lot of people have issues straight away so was in two minds. The current clutch occasionally slips in 5th / 6th so thought it better just to bite the bullet and get it sorted. It's a 2016 pfl 230 petrol
  21. This month I'm finally getting a remap sorted for my petrol 230, I've narrowed it down to two tuning shops near me. One is around Β£1600, including new Sach clutch kit and flywheel, custom map with rolling road, the other is around Β£1900 for the same.
  22. Holly thread revival Batvan.... Finally got around to ordering the diffuser, any particular size speed fasteners suggested?
  23. Could they not repair it? I like that color, and the shadow chrome one Fuzzarr posted
  24. Ah damn that's a shame, I luckily don't have the issue as the wife has an auto license πŸ˜‚ maybe an excuse to get them redone another color then 🀣
