  1. 2016 Skoda Octavia RS 162kW TSI NE 2.0 Litre Petrol I suspect that the engine could also be known as 2.0 TSI EA888 / CHHB - 162 kW My ODBII scanner shows error code "P0118 - Engine Coolant Temperature sensor 1 Circuit High". Whilst the car is idling the ECT sits around 68C and briefly drops to -39C. -39C is not what I expected to see on the first day of summer here, where the air temp is around 28C !! Sometimes the heating comes on for a few seconds in the car. I since found out from Skoda that the part no:- is 06A919501A {not in stock}; VW told me that the part number has been superseded by :- 05C919501. I found an OEM version. Looking around on YouTube , I am confused as to where the sensor is:- with one video indicating there are 2 sensors. Many videos show that there is quite a disassembly effort required to access the sensor. I think I have found the sensor directly with relatively easy access directly behind the radiator [see pics]. I would appreciate if someone can confirm this, before the result is worse than what I have now.
