  1. It's a fancy thing like the below that I assume to be multi light LED. It all appears to be working fine....
  2. I have a 2025 1.5 DSG Fabia which has done just over 800 miles. Today, when indicating to turn right, the indicator speed doubled and a red warning triangle appeared on the dash. After I stopped and restarted the car, it was fine. But my 'My Skoda' app has recorded the below which implies that it is a lighting (presumably indicator) issue although, when using the hazard lights to check, all indicators are working fine (including those on the door mirrors). Weirdly, the infotainment went barmy earlier, refusing to swap radio channels and randomly phoning people when I pressed the 'settings' button etc (all of which may be co-incidental) Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks
  3. If it was a vRS with the 2 litre, 200+ bhp, engine from the Polo GTi I think it'd be worth the extra over the Monte Carlo. It's a shame they didn't do that as it would be an absolute corker.
  4. I have a six month old 1.5 Monte Carlo Edition DSG which is fab. It's on the standard 17" wheels where the ride is sufficiently firm that I really wouldn't want it any firmer. It has the Winter Premium Pack, a physical spare wheel and black pack (or whatever it is called). It has basically the same interior as the 130 minus the steering wheel paddles which I, personally, wouldn't use anyway ! I doubt the 130 is THAT much quicker and is really a 'warmer' hatch. Oh, and the wing badges on the Monte Carlo are proper badges and not a sticker (I don't know why Skoda have been so cheap with that). I paid £24k new against a list price (with options) of over £28k. I'm guessing a similarly specced 130 would be £33k or so - so maybe £29k after discount. Personally, I'd look for a nearly new high spec Monte Carlo Edition for around £21k as I think that is the financial sweet spot. And it won't jar your bones so much on UK roads. Oh, and you might be able to get one in Phoenix Orange with a black roof which is epic (although I am biased, obviously 😂).
  5. Thanks all. Slightly off at a tangent, it seems odd to me that super modern (expensive) fully synthetic oil isn't good for at least 20,000 or 2 years (whichever is soonest) in a new modern efficient engine regardlesz of driving habits ir style. We are not talking 1980's Castrol GTX here!
  6. Well, I'm not entirely sure what the service monitor in the Skoda App is telling me then. Are we saying that, in 2026, a multi billion dollar decades old car giant can't design an in car engine servicing monitoring system that takes into account usage and mileage? And instead they display totally incorrect advice / information? If that is true then it is beyond ridiculous ! My current My Skoda app is showing the following:
  7. Thanks Derek. There's still uncertainty around whether Skoda intend the plan to be for a fixed year 1 and year 2 service. My plan documentation is as clear as mud but I have seen the below online from Skoda . The sentence doesn't actually make sense (I think it should say 'to the' after the word 'entitlement') but it implies that the service regime (Fixed or Flexible) affects whether you are entitled to buy the Service Plan.....🤔
  8. Four months ago I bought a new Fabia 1.5 Monte Carlo. As part of the purchase I paid an extra £299 for the Service Pack which covers the first two scheduled services (not the first two YEARS services). My car is set from the factory to 'Flexible Servicing' where the car decides when it needs servicing. The dealer didn't ask about my likely mileage (which is less than 2,000 miles per year) and didn't switch my car to an 'Annual Servicing' schedule. The car is now saying something like '600 days until next service'. The dealer, when asked, has suggested that the Service Pack is for annual servicing and that I need to take it back annually regardless of what the car says. The Service Pack information doesn't say anywhere that it intends the servicing to be annually regardless. It seems odd that the cars own service requirement doesn't recalculate as it goes along - especially if regular short distance usage is a problem (eg causes the oil to degrade faster). I'm not sure what calculations the car does when set to Flexible Servicing - but it seems odd that it isn't smart enough to cater for all use types and adapt accordingly. Surely anyone who didn't think about these things would just rock up for their first service when the car says to do so (which could be 18 months plus)? AI says the below. Anyone on here have experience of this service package?
  9. Well, I used to have a mk3 Octavia and had it serviced at Skoda but had the same problem as the OP (they forgot to re-set it 🙄). When I took it back, the technician just sat in the car and did some jiggery pokery with buttons to re-set it. I figured this might be the same....
  10. According to AI..... To reset the Inspection light on a Škoda Fabia Mk4, turn the ignition off, then press and hold the "0.0" trip reset button while turning the ignition on (don't start the engine); keep holding until the service interval message appears, then release and press the button again to reset the Oil Service, then repeat the whole process (hold button, ignition on, wait) to get to the Inspection Service, release, and press again to reset.....
  11. Thanks Derek, Before I approach the dealer I'm sort of hoping there will be a Fabia Virtual Cockpit owner on here who can confirm. I was genuinely expecting something impressive regarding screen style options and graphics. Something like the VW Golf below and not something that looks like it was designed by a 12 year old !
  12. For clarity, what I was hoping for was something classy like this: But what I have is something like this:
  13. Hi All Have taken delivery of a new 1.5 Monte Carlo Edition. It's a nice thing but..... I'm trying to configure the virtual dash. I have already realised that I can't do what I want (plain circular rev counter left / plain circular speedo right [both with proper length needles] / large speed in digital numbers in the middle) so have had to compromise using, instead, the large rev counter in the middle with large speed digits within that and a compass one side / remaining miles the other. One configuration of the two clock variety had the digital speed within the speedo clock and again in the middle in a different, smaller, font (which is plain wierd and set off OCD that I didn't even realise I had !). But the clocks (whichever configuration) have a red ring around them and a tiny red digital needle. I'd prefer plain white with a white needle. A digital version of normal clocks kind of thing. I did think all this red might be because the car is in 'sport' mode, and that it might be white in normal mode and green in economy but, no, it's the same in all modes. Am I doing something wrong or is the virtual cockpit really this poor? Thanks
  14. Yes, there is an extra wire on the negative terminal that looks like sound kind of monitoring thing. What I'm struggling with is why a VW Group specialist would tell me that no recoding is required. I was offering to pay them to do - and it's an easy quick job. Reputationally, you wouldn't think they'd want to give someone incorrect advice on something so basic ?
  15. I'm just about to swap my EFB original battery for a new Varta E39 AGM battery in my 2019 Octavia vrS 245 (with stop / start) I called a local very reputable VW / Skoda specialist with a view to paying them to recode the battery with their VCDS - but they checked and told me that there was no need to do this in this model and I could just swap the battery without any recoding. Is this correct? Seems an odd thing to say if not true ?
