It does look a bit like that, seems reasonably unlikely it's anything I've done or that it had a leak before that they didn't notice while doing cambelt!
-
Update on this, definitely not theromostat, and drain bit done up, looks like it’s the seal on this plastic pipe where it connects to the radiator as there’s no coolant above that. Also looks like a bit of damage on bottom passenger side of radiator but not sure.
-
That’s great, thanks very much Wino, I will have a look at these specifically tomorrow morning. My heart sank when I saw the coolant light imagining the head gasket had gone just after having the cambelt done! So I was pleased to see the coolant on cardboard.
-
I had the coolant light on in the car and stuck some cardboard under it and I have a not insignificant coolant leak. That after using the car gets worse. I very recently had the cambelt and water pump done, but the place I had it done at is a 2 hour drive away. the leaks coming from the passenger side at the front, so radiator area, it’s dripping on to the little plastic tray there then off. Can’t get a good angle to see/feel the actual leak even with car jacked up, will take it somewhere with proper ramps to get looked at but just wanted to check this puts me in the clear from it being a serious problem and likely just a leaky hose or connector or at worst radiator?

Interested in buying a Mk1 VRS... Help!
alff replied to Rizzoed's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
just sounds like a bad idea, travelling 600km. I’d offer £800 if it has an mot and all that -
I know you mean well man but if it was me I wouldn’t be happy about seeing some of that online if I was him

How are you getting that? Big motorway stretches? This is the AUB engine?
-
Ah, that's better, will print yours 😂

Found myself trying to find this on my phone all the time so put them together on one page and printed them.. In case it's useful for anyone else. fabiafuses.pdf

Annoying trim rattle rear passenger side
alff replied to Wench's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
This is the way to go.. I just did sound deadening with the bitumen style sheets and proofing with camping mat style sheets to the whole car as had to pull up the carpet thanks to leak. Would say it’s not worth it except engine bay and under rear seats and boot wheel arches which are all the easiest places to get to. The whole carpet area made no difference whatsoever. Mines still noisy, blaming tyres for now but know it’s not going to make much difference. Would agree juanse if cabin noise is your priority / going to drive you insane get a different car. Wench get someone in the car with you to climb around while you’re driving listening prodding and covering stuff until you find out what it is. -
Fabia vRS mk1 mileage history check advise
alff replied to UrsineMagic's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
reckon she only drive it backwards to her sons house to get it serviced as he’s a Skoda technician. really though, could’ve switched it from km to miles or something like that. If it’s imported that is -
Fabia vRS mk1 mileage history check advise

Haha elderly lady 😂 takes the biscuit -
Yeah it’s so strange, considerably closer drivers side, passenger rail looks almost bent out by comparison. Think cutting the door will look awful if I do it. Tried stock speakers with amp and they are not actually bad should probably have just gone with that. Will see what I can get for these and try to replace with shallow mount ones.
