  1. Ok peter I will have a go, will need to do this with my belligerent daughter as I’m no tech wizard so wish me luck
  2. Cheers Ken for me I’m older enough to remember the open map on the driver seat, however for a teenager these days, in between Instagram and other media stuff I don’t think she could cope
  3. Cheers steve yes we have tried the reset.....many times just as the navigon trouble shooting page advised, each time it re-boot then we get some kinda computer language appear in the top left corner above the Skoda logo front screen then changes to advising do a re-boot, so going round in circles, as you may of gathered I’m not a techy however I like your idea of getting a cover, will check with my local Skoda parts department if they have a cap. such a obvious idea didn’t think of it. thanks
  4. Yes she does, sorry my apologies as I rushed writing the post, what I wanted to do is ideally replace the dash clamp with a new clamp that is a smart phone holder, and most importantly if possible with a clamp which is compatible withe the clamp socket, as the current skoda dash clamp is not comparable with a 2013 model dash socket, and was hoping someone might know a company that makes them?
  5. I am uk based and recently bought my daughter a 2013 3 door Citigo sport and absolutely loves her car, accept for one problem which is the navigon pid, which had not been updated so maps old an would send one around the houses, so looked on the skids website which suggested going to navigon and install update ( this is when we discovered navigon is a part of garmin ) anyway we chose the garmin fresh update on the navigon website, this was not a great idea as the pid has now crashed. Navigon tech support as helpful as a chocolate tea cup, so spoke to our local Skoda dealer who could only offer a replacement part costing £289 but are worried that this unit may be outdated as we al know a 6 year old tech is like going back to the Stone Age in tech terms. so my question or plea is can anyone of you citigoers suggest a non Skoda approved unit which would fit the dash holder socket that would be a phone clamp just like you get in later post 2017 models ( yes I am aware post 2017 models dash sockets are different to pre 2017 models). so any ideas would be gratefully accepted
