Really useful gadget, better than the ( scare your pants off ) auto braking system. Good for Mirror Hangers such as used on ferries and the Tunnel. Mine broke off, March 21 and I went the very nice people at Caffyns Skoda Ashford. Didn`t want to faff about near a perfectly good window seal so I asked them to fit it for me, for some reason I got a free health check as well; the car not me; . The total cost was £0.73. I got out a pound coin and was told it had to be by card and would I like an invoice/ receipt? yes please. So I left a main dealer after only spending 73 pence, how good is that?

If the oil drain plug is not removed how is the accumulation of " sludge " removed over the years?

The information was verbal, after the lady on service reception put me on hold while she went away to check. They had given the same information to my daughter , who has a similar model , but not the two cylinder gadget, about an hour earlier. They did say I could have the new belt fitted if I still wanted to! Will leave it a bit longer, sure there will lots of info about this on this forum. Give Caffyns Ashford a ring.

It is August 2018, and I have have done 14,800 miles, with no problems apart from a fight with a Spanish lorry in Calais docks. Lorry 1, Skoda front wing and bumper 0.

Just been told by Caffyns Ashford that my Karoq 1.5 SEL TSI has a lifetime belt and will not need changing. I am very pleased to have saved £775.00 which I was going to pay in three weeks time. What is a lifetime? at 73 years old will the cambelt outlive me?

Has the fancy , Two Cylinder Mode, saved me lots of money to contribute to my cambelt change cost? 1.5 tsi 13324 miles.
