Speed sign recognition issues
Sometimes speed limits taken from previous roadworks are shown even though the roadworks have gone. It's just the map hasn't been updated since. tom

Clutch Judder
The DSG gearbox has two clutches. I assume that one clutch will be for odd number gears and one for even. Which gear(s) judder? tom

Delete Old Destinations on Sat Nav
I have done it after touching (not swiping) the '>' to the right of the destination name. Most of the time this brings up a menu that includes an 'Edit' option. Touch 'Edit' and the 'Delete' option appears. I say "most of the time" because sometimes it does not seem to work. I have not yet worked out why. Not a swipe anywhere. I found the following after searching my computer for an old copy of the Owners Manual. I had misread the significance of '>' in the third bullet point, Tom

Delete Old Destinations on Sat Nav
Hover and swipe did not work. I then tried setting up another destination with the same name. The system allowed me to do it. So now I have two different destinations with the same name and I cannot delete either. tom

Delete Old Destinations on Sat Nav
Sorry to resurrect an old topic BUT what is the knack? The last SD card satnav update (Mib 2) appears to have scrambled some of my destinations. I am trying to delete them in order to reinstate new correct ones using the same names. What else can I try? So far tries have been: Light touch, swipe left on just the destination name. Light touch, swipe left starting on the arrow triangle on the right of the destination name. As per the above two but with a heavier touch Start the swipe away from the screen and just touching down to continue the swipe. Nothing has worked. All attempts have just taken me to the Route guidance. Will setting a new destination and giving it the same name over write the 'old' data. I have not tried that yet although it doesn't answer the problem I am having with deletion. Any thoughts will be most welcome. Tom

Battery ‘State of Charge’.
The problem with modern cars is that the battery is only charging under certain circumstances, most commonly on overrun. The alternator will not be making power all the time, only when the system allows it. With the system not permanently producing power short journeys may not, therefore, put enough charge into the battery. I mainly do short journeys and stop/start rarely activates. I needed to do a longer journey last week and for a short period the start/stop began working again. I don't worry about it. tom

Oil Warning Message - Please Reduce Oil Level. Workshop!
I wrote this a couple of years ago (Jan 2023). "Regens are made by extra diesel being injected into the engine. If these regens don't burn off this diesel then it runs down the bores into the engine thus diluting and raising the oil level. Not good. If this has happened you will also need an oil change. If a regen is occurring and you turn off the engine before it has finished the engine will be hot and often the cooling fan will remain running. After "the fix" my 2010 diesel Yeti did this regularly. I would then immediately restart and go for a decent 60/70 mph drive alternating between 3rd or 4th gear, not top gear, in order to burn off this extra diesel and complete the regeneration. Modern diesels are not designed for too many regular short journeys. This was the reason that when my driving pattern changed I got rid of my Yeti and bought a petrol Karoq. I am currently only doing around 5000 miles a year." Tom
