  1. Had this recently too. Boot open warning would sound despite boot being closed. Assumed it was the cheapo reverse camera / boot handle from Ali Express. Went away for a bit then back with a vengeance, also noticed that drivers mirror puddle light flashing when car locked. Reverted back to original handle, gave latch a good spray with WD40. No boot warning but also now no interior lights and dash has dimmed!! Help! Thought it might be battery but tested and sitting at 12v after a week of not moving in sub zero temperatures + charging at 14v when running ! Car is a 2018 Mk3 2.0 tdi 52k
  2. Steering rack was the culprit….replaced again under warranty. Thanks again for the pointers guys….arms like popeye now it’s amazing how you forget what driving without the mod cons was like 😂🥳
  3. Battery re-tested and told it was ok….off to local garage tomorrow. Fingers crossed….fed up with this car! During the past two years it’s had new timing belt and water pump, fuel pump, full clutch kit, steering rack + rear brakes, autodim rear mirror and climate control panel. Previously had a Mazda 6 and aside from discs and pads it never missed a beat. First cars I ever owned were both VW’s a Derby and a Mk1 Jetta….swore I would never go back to a VAG car again …..d’oh!
  4. No battery light at all…..SOC was 60 this morning…..took it to National Tyres….alternator charging….advised to take it for a longish run…..took it for an hours jaunt down the motorway…..SOC now at 80 all lights still on. Probably take it back to. National Tyres get them to retest battery (said wasn’t reading battery first time).
  5. 2014 2.0 tdi 60,000 miles Started car earlier only to be greeted by Stop/Start error / TPMS Inoperative / front assist unavailable / TCS error and no power steering 🤬 Just wondering (hoping) is this a battery on it’s way out (or a dying alternator)? Any help / thoughts greatly appreciated. Cheers 🍻
