  1. From seeing the cars around the dealership, the ‘21 model year was a de specification. The lost spec includes rain sensing wipers, auto dimming interior mirror, torch in boot along with other things that may have been a misunderstanding about what was standard or options on press cars regarding the reviews. Thoughts about the car being well specified are diminishing.
  2. Kental replied to Guyboy's topic in Škoda Kamiq
We have 4 new shape Leons at work and the users say the front assist (no adaptive cruise) is a pain in the rear. My 69 plate Octavia has Adaptive Cruise with front assist and I have never had it brake on me in over 20,000 miles. Perhaps if you upgrade to Adaptive Cruise the sensors are upgraded and less set off by false alarms. I am hoping to get a Kamiq with adaptive cruise next year so I will maybe find out then.
  3. Today we have had a test drive in a Kamiq 1.0 DSG and are about to press the button on an order of one for next year (hopefully it will turn up!!!) As a current 69 plate Skoda Octavia 1.0 manual owner I was very impressed with the Kamiq (trying not to be drawn in by the Monte Carlo features that we will not be getting on our SE) Personally I think the ride is better, even with the 18" wheel on the demo. The DSG is very smooth, if a bit hesitant when you pull away and I was impressed to notice even the 1.0 has coasting function. The stop start worked much less noticeably than on my Octavia. Also the front assist and lane assist appear much less annoying than the current shape Leons we have at work. My order is a bit of a sleeper, 1.0 SE DSG in Energy Blue (same as my Octavia) with just optional Adaptive Cruise. Toying with a couple of small other factory options like the divider net and was wondering if anyone has one and what they are like. Hopefully I will feel as welcome over here next year as I am on the Octavia forum even though I am a very limited poster as the car has been so trouble or niggle free.
  4. I agree. That’s why I changed the Kuga H15 bulbs. From memory they were quite expensive, but purely aesthetic as no brighter.
  5. From memory in the Kuga I fitted an Osram EU approved H15 blue tint bulb to reduce the yellowness. Personally if you can only replace the dipped beam bulb you are 95% there. The main beam bulb upgrade is more for show than necessity.
  6. When I say twin set, the facelift car has H7 main beam too so I now have all bulbs as the Philips ones.
  7. My twin set of Philips H7 bulbs (facelift car) are still going strong after close on 20 months and 18000 miles. Personally I think they are better than Nightbreakers. Not sure who do upgrade H15 bulbs, I had a real issue with a Kuga 5 years ago.
  8. On my 1.0 TSi the fuel computer is about 5-10% optimistic compared to brim to brim calculations over 12500 miles.
  9. Sorry if this is a silly question, I have a 69 plate 1.0 SE Technology and I was a little confused today. Do UK Octavias have Speed Limiters as I tried all the things mentioned in the manual to try and activate the limiter, but to no avail. I have a car with adaptive cruise so it would be a bit strange that it is in the manual but not activated.
  10. Hi there, newbie so still a bit green, I've just been on the Update Portal to look if there any new maps for my car. ON the Info screen it says I have ECE AS 19/20 currently on my car, unfortunately ECE AS does not appear in the choice of available downloads for my VIN. There only appears to be ECE 1 to 7 and ECE A1. Which is for my car?
