Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
I was leasing mine direct through a franchised dealer and VWFS so got an actual Skoda order number. From memory the brochure changed mid December so your November order I assume would be the same as I was expecting re standard specification.

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
My order was a 110dsg SE in Energy Blue with adaptive cruise, front sensors & rear camera. Maybe the delay on mine was the dsg so if your car is planned it may have the electric rear windows

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
Is yours SE spec? SEL executive and Monte Carlo still have electric rear windows

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
Same here, even though I hardly use the rear seats

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
The garage cancelled with no issues or cost

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
I ordered in September, but what would be built would be a current SE spec with options, as electric rear windows are not available, they could not be added.

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
Nothing ordered yet. My current lease I have until November, let’s hope the silly season dies down by then.

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
With heavy heart, as it is now confirmed, I am looking to cancel my Kamiq order. This is just one spec drop too far. I appreciate it is only a small thing, but on top of the 2020/21 spec drops, it just makes for too little compared to the price. Thank you all for the information.

Scala S, SE & SE Technology are the same too.

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
The Monte Carlo has electric rear windows too.

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
It has been blamed on semiconductor shortage. However everything they can charge extra for is still available….

Rear electric windows removed from SE trim
I have confirmed with my dealer that yes the rear windows are now manual. I am leasing mine and the contract hire guy is not in until Monday so I will find out what has happened to my order then.

My New Kamiq arrived at Dealer minus Blind Spot Detection 😞
To my knowledge the auto interior dimming mirror was dropped off the SE, but kept on the SEL. As I have no build date yet, I hope mine SE isn't a my23 as it will probably loose the electric windows by then!!!

Screen washer fluid tank leak
I think needing automatic height adjustment is dependent on bulb wattage

Screen washer fluid tank leak
Not anymore. Standard Kamiqs and also our 71 plate Yaris have full LED lights, no washers and also manual range adjustment. Even Monte Carlo models with Adaptive Lights have no standard washers.

About to press the button on a Kamiq order
Hi glad to hear you are enjoying your car. Do you know if your car is a 1.0 110ps or a 1.0 115ps?

Can I change from 18" wheels to 16" wheels?
When my Kamiq (hopefully) turns up next year I am aiming to fit Cross Climates same as I currently have on my Octavia. Since the swap on the Octavia even though the tyres are the same size the road noise has noticeably reduced from the Premacy 3 tyres the car came with.

On Skoda accessories in the brochure it lists 16” winter wheels for S, SE & SEL, but not Monte Carlo. Not sure why as I thought the MC had no mechanical differences.

Lane assist is dangerous
Our second car now has cursed lane keeping (71 plate Toyota Yaris) so it will be 2nd nature for me by the time Skoda get around to building our Kamiq. Present estimates are around 8-9 months! Just another beep to ignore when passing a parked car half on the curb. Issue is with so many beeps that you just ignore how do you know when you need to react. Issue with the car crying wolf.

Kamiq All season & Winter tyres
In the Kamiq brochure listed under accessories is 16" Nanuq alloy wheels with winter tyres at £555.00. They show as suitable for the S, SE & SEL, but not the Monte Carlo. Not sure why as I assumed there was no wheel (except the design) or suspension difference. Probably a good value option compared to swapping tyres.

About to press the button on a Kamiq order
Unfortunately VWFS have changed all their prices (upwards obviously) and I only had one option price secured. So I have pressed the button on the base spec above so 1.0 DSG in energy blue with adaptive cruise. I have requested that I have the Volans wheel style.

About to press the button on a Kamiq order
Some of the spec changes look like penny pinching (have VW moaned that the Skoda is more luxurious than a T Cross), but others just look odd. Re the rain sensor, auto lights are an NCAP score, but auto wipers are not. Even though the light & rain sensor are the same, how the car interprets the information will need separate semiconductors

Are any of the missing specification owing to the shortage of semiconductors?

Infotainment system re-booting.
For the price of a 9.2” screen with nav I can almost get adaptive cruise, front sensors and a rear camera. May not look as flash in the showroom, but as the 8” screen has wireless CarPlay, I think I’ll stick with the 8” screen.

Infotainment system re-booting.
My Octavia needs a soft reset (holding power button for 5 seconds) about twice a month. Makes me nervous about upgrading to 9.2” screen with no physical buttons. As I lease my cars the circa £1000 upgrade cost is a minor point too.
