Front seat height
I put a deposit down on a 2015 Golf SV 1.4 TSI SE DSG today, it's got a super smooth gearbox (no judder on takeup or gear change), SWMBO is happy with it, so that's most of the battle. Thank you for the heads up. We did look at a Yeti with 65k, but it was rusty and way overpriced for the condition.

Thank you, the Golf SV looks to be just what we're after.

Front seat height
It's all three really, she's fine getting in and out of my Yeti but does have the seat fully up to be comfortable when driving. She currently has a Touran 1.6 TDI DSG, but that's just been written off and she doesn't do the mileage to keep a diesel healthy anymore, and as the 1.4 TSI DSG Touran's are all imports (in the age that we can afford) and a ULEZ car would also be a benefit. Although a Yeti would fit the bill, I'm trying to find something with lower running costs and was hoping a Roomster was more suitable. It must have room for three kids (two in car seats) with a large(ish) boot.

Front seat height
Hi All I'm thinking of getting a Roomster 1.2 TSI DSG for the wife, but she needs a front seat height similar to a Yeti or a Touran due to knee issues, can anyone advise please.

DSG fault, possibly being ripped off by garage
I've no idea if oil change was he Service Campaign 34F7 as the car is in the garage and the paperwork just states DSG oil change. The quoted cost is £2400 as a worst case, it may be less.

DSG fault, possibly being ripped off by garage
Hi All Thanks for the replies. In my original post I said it was a DQ250, it's not, it's a DQ200 fitted in a 2012 VW Touran 1.6TDI with 61K, it had a DSG oil change by VW at 40k. The car is in a garage that specialise in transmissions (auto and manual), but they use a separate company to deal with bookings and customer related work, it was this company that told me the wrong info on the faults. I'm now in contact with the garage directly and the tech dealing with car. The clutch pack is faulty, and gear selectors are warn. So it's getting a new clutch pack, gear selectors and and the metatronic unit calibrated.

DSG fault, possibly being ripped off by garage
Hi All, I've not posted for a good while, but now I need help. My wife's DSG box (DQ250 7 speed) has lost 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th gears. I put it into a garage and they have said that the clutch needs replacing, it has also contaminated the gearbox, so this will need a rebuild, in turn the gearbox has contaminated the metatronic unit, add to this the wiring harness needs replacing. Is this even a remotely possibility, as in my eyes how can a dry clutch contaminate the gearbox, and in turn the metatronic unit, as all three are separate units in themselves ?
