Afternoon folks, wondering if anyone can solve an apparent debate regards my 2017 vrs tsi. Some garages are saying it will definitely need timing chain doin at 100k at a huge cost! Other garages i spoke to have said its not needed unless theres an issue? Can somebody please confirm which is correct as i would rather not fork out 2k for no reason. Thanks all.

Thanks so much RATZER, that video link regards sorting the blower was great and really helped. My blower stopped working, had a look and found the spindle partially seized, with a little rust and also some fine metal dust surrounding the motor body! tried freeing it up but blower still stalled after a minute or two. going to replace motor, pattern part only £48. Thanks again though, gave me confidence to do myself. 😉

Sound job, ill av a look at reiger too then, thanks for that. Did u fit these yourself? Front splitter looks really good btw. So are your side skirts colour matched then? I have a mk3 octavia vrs est in white. Thinking of adding front and rear splitters as a 1st project (sideskirts to come) Hoping will reduce road spray a bit, add some protection at front n hopefully look awesome in gloss black against the white bodywork. Any1 any advice on where to look/go regards obtaining these parts please? Seen the Maxton ones, are they any good? Has any1 done this before? Advice n tips greatly accepted, me welder! Lol. Thanks Kenai. Thought thatd b the case tbh, bit dear 4 what they are. B a few years yet b4 we c any copies/pattern parts as well i suppose. The DIY route seems to b what every1 else does so i reckon thats the way. Might even try n post pics of b4 n after...... Me not bein good with ewt online! Pmsl! 😜 Cheers again. 👍

Does anyone know if u can get the screw on exhaust tip things in black or carbon look please? Mine are chrome n its spoiling the black pack look! Or.... Any ideas on how i can do it myself???

Ayup all, Just landing my intro post. Ive recently purchased 17 plate octavia vrs tsi 230. Proppa love it but i need 2 sort these golf r folk out! 😜 Used the site before for help with issues on my old 07 octavia vrs tdi and found u guys to b very helpful and wanted in on it. Im a skilled TIG welder and teach it 4 a living but know very little about mechanics of cars etc. Happy to help any1 with welding issues in return though. Talk soon.....
