I have checked hub and sensor, which is working fine. I suspect there may be a fault in harness wiring. Does the wire run the entire length to the module, or is there a connection somewhere in between? TIA.

I have a 2010 Fabia. All of a sudden, both the parking aid, and the beep when reverse gear is selected, has stopped working. I have checked the possible fuses, and they are ok. Is there an electrical switch under the gearstick shroud? TIA.

I need to replace front o/s sidelight bulb. The aperture is too small to get fingers in. Is it just a push in fit, or does it have to be turned first? Can i gently pull wires and wiggle free? TIA.

Do you think a bottle of Cataclean might help with the emissions?

So is it likely the valve and cat are toast?

He did mention checking spark plugs, so hopefully it`s that.

Failed MOT on above. Symptoms are EML on, recent excessive oil consumption, occasional smell of exhaust, and misfire at low revs. Garage did say there was a minor exhaust leak on the flexi, but said that would not be the cause. He plugged in laptop, and it came back with CAT problem. He said he was not convinced, although it could be, or a valve problem. Taking it back next week, for them to have a look. He said a new cat would solve the problem for now, but the problem would come back later on. Any advice would be appreciated.

I did put my hand over the exhaust, and engine kept running. Which maybe accounts for smell in cabin, due to leaking exhaust, but not for excessive oil consumption. I took off lid of pcv contol valve, and it was a bit oily. Nothing much there, just a spring.

Hi, I understand one of the causes of above problem, could be a blocked crankcase ventilation. However, i am not sure where it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for that. I think I will remove hub, as I can dismantle springs off the car. And hopefully reuse the hub nut.

Is it possible, to remove rear brake shoes, on Mk2 Fabia 1.2, without removing wheel cylinder, or wheel bearing? After removing bottom spring, will the assembly, fit between bearing and cylinder? If bearing does have to be removed, can i reuse nut? Thanks.

No, but i could change filter and plugs anyway. Strange how car is running perfectly, since EML made an appearance.

Thanks for reply. It`s a Fabia 2010 1.2 70bhp 542. Petrol. For a few months, the car has hesitated on acceleration, in lower gears. Yesterday, EML came on, but the hesitation when accelerating, has disappeared. Car now runs perfectly. Would faulty MAP sensor cause this? Thanks again.

Could anyone point out the location of Mass Airflow Sensor, in the photo? Thanks.
