I saw it in VWs, it is look like CAN gateway faulty. Try to disconnect vechicle battery on ~5 minutes. It will reset CAn gateway and everything should be fine. Good Luck

Original SoundSystem Retrofitting (lot of pics)
TallioN replied to TallioN's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Thank s guys Yes, it is better (and a cheaper) to order it from factory)) I spend three working days (almost 30 hours) for this work. But my pics is not so terrible like this This is also Sounsdsystem installation, but a little more deep than my ))) Stu, I made just wiring, waiting for lamps. They will Arrived at next week -

Sound is better of course than "base". More rich signal spectrum, more massive bass etc. I not worked with additional door damping -
Brand New VRS Engine Mounts snapped

In Moscow vRS internet club we have two TFSI vRS with damaged engine mounts. Both cases covered by waranty -
RNS510 with parking sensor display
TallioN replied to des_pd_ tdi's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
I asked guys from Skoda factory. Bad news - we will need new parking sensors ECU and Climatronic (if we whant to see changes on display like on Stream). For Skoda it will be available from 08.2008 RNS is the same, no need HW or SW changes -

Fine, thank you! I hope it will apper on Columbus after software upgrade -
Yes, you need TVtuner box from VW Touareg 7L6 919148 (only this p|n works with RNS touchscreen), TVtuner cable and TV antennas. And of course, programming with VAGCOM or VAS. I helped to my friend to retrofit it and it works fine. The only one problem - retail price for 7L6919148 is terrible (around 1500 euro)

Hi all Long time I wished to add in my mirrors: - ambient lights - autodazzle - lowering with rear gear For autodazzle (or autodimming, I don`t know how to say right) it is necessary to have interior mirror with autodimming. For lowering - atleast variable resistor in mirror for feedback. I found a complete mirrors from L&K version with all options. So. New mirror witout cover. Small socket - for analog signal from interior mirror for auto dimming Ambient light (5W) Standart mirror without cover First step is to remove door trim Second - change the mirrors Wires for autodimming is in A-pillar (red arrow), so we need to make a wires only from mirror to A-pillar inside door. For ambient lights all wiring already done on a factory Making a wiring ...And wiring from variable resistors to door electronic module Result Lowering is not working. I will need seat controlu module or door control module from Golf V. To be continued... ))

Passenger mirror curb parking function
TallioN replied to sebulbus's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Today I makes right coding and it is NOT work with standart mirrors. I even got new menu in Maxidot for "MIRROR DOWN" but physically mirror NOT lowering. OK. Next step is to implement L&K mirrors with X-Y position feedback. I will do it on next weekend. I will let you know. -
Passenger mirror curb parking function

My opinion of course is just theory, but I saw some VW Golf V without memory seats and with lowering mirror with totaly the same electronics like in Octy. May be X-Y position and variable resistors are not necessary for lowering and the problem is in just coding. I will check it soon. I will write here about the results. -

I think NO, because on Russian market you can order lowering mirror on Golf V without (!) memory seat. I checked coding and part numbers on such Golf - Can gateway, comfort module and passenger door module totally the same as in our Octavia II and lowering working without (!) memory seat module. I think, position of mirror for lowering store in door electronic module. So you will need to set "lowering mirror" option in Comfort electronic module and set "Memory seat installed" in door electronic module. Of course, you will get fault code "communication with memory seat module is lost" (because no seat module installed in car), but lowering will work (may be in case of mirror with variable resistors inside) - I saw it in Golf V with factory installed option "lowering mirror with reverse gear" (funny that fault code about "communication with memory seat module is lost" is OK in this case). I will check this setting in my vRs tomorrow - firstly for usual mirrors without variable resistors. I think lowering will not work. Than on next week I plane to get exterior mirrors with some options (like ambient lights, autodimming and variable resistors) and check the lowering after installation -
Passenger mirror curb parking function

It is not OEM solution, which I like )In you case mirror will move down and up each time when you will change direction of moving on parking, in my case - mirror will rise only in case of forward moving with speed higher than 15 km\h. I recommend you to try to make right coding for electronics - may be it will work without any modification of harware. If not - we will compare result of our practive experience. If I am right - you may just buy "interior" of left mirror with variable resistors inside.
