Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Mentioned a Mog to my mate, he said it would be good since you can use it to rotate the earth to the position you need. Less good for driving to Leicestershire

- So I went and bought a Jaaaag
Oh dear those are not nice alloys- Dangerous automatic braking
SO's Clubman has fron radar and about 3 times it has wailed red with a false positive reading of a car in front. Scared the crap out of me. I think it did bang the brakes on once, but that might have been me pooing my pants.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
I have bought something else. But I've not got it yet so I'm keeping quiet. It's looking like Tuesday to get it. It's being delivered since the BMW is still off the road. They'll take it away on trade plates.- A scam I presume
Aye I've been done in France and Germany despite never having visited either since passing my test.- New Landrover Defender are you up for one?
Yeah my mate bangs on about mud constantly. Plenty of cars with ground clearance but they all still have big fat summer tyres and they float on the mud spinning their tyres until the dig in. He was shooting yesterday and apparently there was a guy there with a new defender but it wasn't doing too well. for one the supplied tyres are no good and apparently the rim size means there isn't a god selection of off-road tyres for it right now, the other was his was a £70+ model and he was too scared to drive it where he needed to go.- New Landrover Defender are you up for one?
Drove a new defender today. I liked it, it's a bit like the Wrangler but civilised. Its probably worth the extra over the Wrangler. I'd consider one but the one i drove had a beige interior which is going to be a disaster for anyone that chooses it. It's only 6k but the seats were stained and water marked from drops of rain or water splashes. Trim looked to be easily scratched too. The car itself drives really well. I liked it a lot but then I drove a full Range Rover.. I understand the appeal now.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
I quite like that one. Got my money back from Toyota today. All it took were 4 phone calls yesterday to chase all the unreturned calls that were promised An email to the CEO A fairly strong phone call with the franchise priciple who called me after the ceo got involved, which started off with him saying sorry it was a mistake but we're not paying anything and ended with them paying my expenses and delivering number plates to my house Another two phone calls today to chase the refund and the promised email from the franchise principle that never appeared. Nae bother eh!- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
ain't got my money back ain't got any insurance ain't got the right plates on the car ain't got a V5 ain't getting any calls from the stealer Have just emailed the CEO of the group. Doubt it'll do much. Step 1 - get militarised unimog Step 2 - accidentally do bad 47 point turn around Toyota dealer lot- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Been able to restart the warranty debit with BM at least.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Aaaand I've not bought a Land Cruiser So Toyota phones me up last night - "we're really sorry but we offered you £4k too much for your car we can't go through with the deal" "My plate is on retention and I've just scheduled the cancellation of my insurance" "Aye sorry about that, we'll cover your expenses but we won't go through with the deal" I started haggling over free servicing etc but eventually I just said that I didn't want it anymore give me my money back. Waiting on the call this morning to sort that out. Can't uncancel my car insurance either so I need to start a new policy. (anyone looking for insurance and you're looking at OneCall you can get £40 off with code - AM6) I also need to get new plates printed because my private plate is on retention (probably quicker and will be less hassle when I eventually switch). I also need to restart the direct debot for the extended warranty on the beemer which I'd also cancelled. I know I could threaten them with legal action as I have a signed contract for the sale of my vehicle but it's not worth the bother. The search goes on I guess.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
I tell you what I'll do. I'll do my best to enjoy the car with whatever I choose to do it, be it plough about in a field to go shooting or drive to Tesco at rush hour If I see you I'll give you a big smile and wave from me shiney new motor. What I won't do is moan like an old maid about other people choices. Now away and **** on someone elses parade.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
I didn't buy a RR George so I don't have the lofty entitlement to push lessor folk out of my way. It's just a Toyota so I shall park at the far end of the car park with the other terrorists. I've few pics on my phone but not time to move them somewhere they can be uploaded from for now.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Aye bike rack is exactly what I wanted it for. But also for a trailer. SO's mother is downsizing so we need to collect a lot of stuff, I was going to hire a trailer but I can probably just fit it all in a door pocket for the LC. We did a we trial run to the supermarket on the drive, found out the LC is about a foot longer (+tow bar) than a standard space. 360 camera handily showed us hanging out front and back.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Only negatives we could find, It's old school on the inside, tough as old boot but no nice soft touch stuff. Nothing crackly everything feels liked it's solid but it not tactile really. All glove suitable I suppose. Passenger seat doesn't height adjust, SO wanted to put hers down she felt quite pertched on it. They've put a tow bar on it, which I did want, but it's non-removable, it makes a big car quite a bit bigger. I assume I could get this switched out later. Diamond cut bloody alloys. On a proper 4x4. One review had - If you want to go into the Outback drive a Land Rover; If you want to come back, drive a Land Cruiser- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnndddd......... I've bought a Landcruiser. Went down to test the demo, turned out the demo was available to buy (I always thought you had to wait 3 months). Drove it, liked it. It's quite old fashioned in some places but looks like it will be a very easy car to live with whilst still doing everything I need. Got offered a very good price for the BMW which is what swung it.- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
I have thought about getting my HGV license purely for the shi!ts and giggles. If I had somewhere to put a Mog I think I'd be considering it more. I quite the idea of an Ural 4320 as well- Ideas what to do, stick or switch
Ural do a 3x3 motorbike and sidecar as well. Not sure where the shotgun would go? https://motorbike.science/sidecar-motorcycle-review/ural-3x3-motorcycle-sidecar-dniepr-mw750-k750-1/- Ideas what to do, stick or switch

https://tanks-alot.co.uk/product/ot-64-skot-8x8-armoured-personnel-carrier/ I think I like the Mog better but still. The have a T54 as well Tovarish! I've got a Landcruiser to test on Friday- Vauxhall Corsa electric 2020 Fault (maybe faults) in first 6 weeks & various over the next 3 years.
Are they doing software updates over the air, a la Tesla? But doing it in the Microsoft 365 style whch is to fk up all your other hard won settings in the process? - So I went and bought a Jaaaag
