  1. Hey, yes I sorted it now. Had to prime the fuel pumps a few times with OBDEleven then cranked until it eventually fired up (about 20ish seconds). It's been spot on since then and fires up straight away every time.
  2. Hi all, my 2012 Octavia's battery went flat due to the head unit switching itself on and off constantly during the night and thus killing the battery. I went to jump start the car this morning after being sat for a couple of days and it didn't seem to be giving it enough power to start, then as soon as cables/jump pack were removed it had no power at all. I've replaced the battery this afternoon but the car still won't start, it cranks but won't fire up. It's parked on the road outside my house as it usually is, with about 1/4 of a tank of fuel. I've got access to OBDEleven but not VCDS. I've linked a video of the sounds it makes when attempting to start. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks in advance. https://youtube.com/shorts/UHNBblnchc0?si=JoRFAZP9HQa2VFqm
  3. Bump. Any suggestions or am I best replacing with a new unit? Thanks.
  4. Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before, searched a bit and couldn't find anything. So my SatNav on my Columbus unit hasn't been working (0/0 Satellites) so I bought a replacement GPS Antenna from eBay, fitted it a few days ago and now about 2-3 minutes after starting the car the screen starts flickering on/off as if it's rebooting but not actually restarting (music cuts out and screen goes black, this happens even when the screen is 'off', ie with the time showing and nothing else). I've ran a fault scan with OBDEleven and the only related fault is 00856 - Antenna, on Radio - Short Circuit to Ground - Intermittent. I've swapped the old antenna back in but the problem is still there. If anyone could offer any potential solutions it'd be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!
  5. Yeah I know it's mirrored, my board looks like the attached one, showing #41 (which is actually #44) as the wiper fuse when it's actually #18 (which is actually #15) . Very confusing! 🥴 My manual does however seem to show the correct numbers!
  6. The card on the back of the fuse box cover shows #41 as the rear wiper fuse and #18 as blank, however I've just fused #18 and now the camera turns on and off with ignition but the wiper is still stuck, so I'm assuming the problem lies with the rear wiper motor? Thanks for your help.
  7. #41, second from the right on the second row from the bottom.
  8. Hi all, I've recently bought a 2012 Octavia vRS Hatch, everything is perfect except the rear wiper doesn't work. I've gone to hardwire a dashcam in today and wanted to piggyback off of the rear wiper fuse as I did with a previously owned Octavia but there is no fuse in the slot, I've tried to plug another fuse in to it but the pins appear to be missing so the fuse has nothing to connect to and just falls back out. What's the best course of action here? Is it possible that the pins have been pushed in or pulled out and need to be put back in place or is there more to it? Thanks in advance.
