Can't open driver's window without holding onto button
Thanks both for those responses, no I've not had the battery disconnected of late. I've tried what you suggest to no avail so far but I'll try again!

Can't open driver's window without holding onto button
65 Reg Octavia estate All my other windows work ok but on the driver's door window I have to hold down the button until the window is fully open. A quick press of the button closes it just fine but opening is the problem. There's no info in the manual that helps I can't help thinking I've had this problem before and somehow solved the problem but I can't remember how. My online research suggested holding the button down until it opened fully and continue holding for a few seconds, then closing the window by holding the button and keeping it held for a few seconds again after it's closed, but that hasn't worked despite many attempts with different lengths of holding it.

DSG auto gearbox, no creeping forward, is there something wrong with it?
It's done 50,000 miles I put the VIN into the Skoda site and there were no recalls listed

DSG auto gearbox, no creeping forward, is there something wrong with it?
It creeps nicely when reversing - I'd like it to do it when going forward. I have to be quite gentle on the accelerator to make it not jerk

DSG auto gearbox, no creeping forward, is there something wrong with it?
I've got a 65 Reg Octavia estate with DSG auto gearbox and 1.2 engine that I've had for 3 years. When I put it into Drive and take my foot of the brake it doesn't creep forwards and never has. It does creep in reverse. It's been always been like this. Also, sometimes when it's in Drive but my foot isn't on the brake it'll kind of rev between 1,000 and 1,300 as though I'm pushing the accelerator and releasing it. Putting my foot on the brake stops this. The bloke who services it reckons every other auto he works on creeps forward in Drive and I just hired an auto on holiday which crept forward and I'd rather mine did too! So my question is, can it be adjusted so it works as it sounds as if it should? Is it a big job, is it just software, how much might a Skoda dealer charge! Any any thoughts anyone has. Thanks in advance

Towbar question
Thanks for those replies In the end I've booked it in with PF Jones in Manchester who seem to have a very good reputation - and confirm that it needs a cable taking to the region of the glove box. I've previously used Thule roof mounted racks but now one of the bikes is an electric one so it's too heavy for the roof rack and too heavy to lift up there, so the rear mounted one is better for us.

Towbar question
I'm wanting a detachable towbar fitting to my Octavia estate 2015. It's just for attaching a bike rack, no towing planned. I've found someone who'll do it and he seems to be saying he'll need to strip out the interior to take a cable to the front of the car. This sounds strange to me as I thought there would be wiring somewhere in the boot area. It's been suggested to me that this might be a sign that he's not installing it with the official wiring and coding. Is anyone able to offer me any words of wisdom on this please?
